I started ordering from China King around 1999, when I worked a few minutes away. The owner would always deliver me lunch. I have not been there for quite some time but decided to go tonight. I prayed it was the same owner and when I walked in, I was so happy I to his face behind the counter. He greeted me with a big smile and I was surprised he remembered me. Yes, when you walk in it does smell like cigar smoke, but anybody with a set of eyeballs can see there’s literally a cigar lounge right next door. The cigar smell is not their fault and I really feel bad that they have to work and smell it all day long. I ordered crab rangoons, Pizza rolls, pork fried rice, and general tso chicken. It is still the best Chinese food in Lancaster. Portions are great, prices Fair, and the owners are amazing. Don’t let the one star reviews deter you from trying China King. Lots of people don’t know that they also used to own Ming’s Buffet off of Fruitville Pike before it came Dragon Buffet . And that buffet was phenomenal. China King is a Wonderful Chinese restaurant. Please give it a try for yourself.

12-11-25: I Googled Mapped “chinese food” and this place had the worst rating at a 3.9 however, it had a good review about their large eggrolls which is what I was in search for. Upon walking in this place is hit me like a flashback of Atlantic City Casino stale cigar smoke leached into the walls and rugs . As for the eggrolls they were of respectable size, much bigger than others but for $2.25 each. Just under $10 for 4 of them. At least they were packed tight full of goodness unlike other doughy roll that you find on the market. I’ll keep looking for my quest if giant eggrolls.

I really enjoy China King. It’s a little out of the way for me but I think the quality of the food is worth it. The staff is always super friendly too. One of the better spots for Chinese food in the area.

Placed a $90 door dash order and was there to get the bag immediately after drop off, everything was fine except we were missing one meal, general tso’s. Call back to politely inform them, and they proceeded to gaslight us by saying it was in fact packed when the bag was sealed completely upon drop off. He then hung up the phone? Extreme disappointment for a large order customer. That’s not how you handle things as a business owner for paying customers. Do better.

This is by far the best Chinese food place in Lancaster. By far. They actually cook real meat and vegetables not pre-bought and Frozen. We have been going to this place since 2005. The owner is amazingly friendly, great to talk to, and treats his customers like family. I highly recommend you go here. Make sure to get the steamed dumplings!

If I could rate zero I would. I almost debated not coming to pick up the food I just ordered but I might as well Since I WANT IT. I just had the worst service over the phone ever. How was I supposed to know my order was placed, how long it will take, ect. if the call is ended with okay after I said the ordered I wanted. I responded with” yes that is all” for an “okay” and hung up. Will never be coming back, that is laughable.

They used to have great food. That has changed. Crab Rangoons tasted sour, were not edible. General Tso chicken was tough and stringy. Won’t come back again. Very disappointed.

They really went down in quality tonight. The fried rice was mushy and so was the lo mein. Food was pretty bland. Worst chinese food I ever had. I wasted $60, I wrote this, so you don’t have to.
