I thought I try and give this restaurant a second try before leaving a review. Unfortunately, like the first time the food looks appetizing but was not hot. More like microwaved warm to hard and cold. The staffing was confusing for a young waitress set me down and took my drink order then never came back so I had to walk to cashier where a gentleman got me my refill and some napkins. Overall (2) stars is for the presentation of the buffet and seating are. Most likely won’t return and take drive to Oak Ridge or Knoxville if want Chinese.

I usually get a to go order, & my go to is the sweet & sour chicken dinner which comes with fried rice, sweet & sour sauce in a separate container and an awesome egg roll. Excellent, and if you want to eat there they have amazing buffet as well.

Looks can be deceiving! You have to try this place if you like Chinese Food!!!
This was our 1st time at this restaurant. (It won’t be our last!) My daughter got the buffet too. She loved it. I was very surprised by this place. The buffet was full of many different entrée choices, as well as tons of sides, appetizers, fruits, deserts, and everything you would expect to find on the huge, expensive buffets. The best part & most important is that thier food TASTES AMAZING! Everything was Fresh on the buffet! Not one thing looked like it had been there more that 5 mins! I even made an order for my other two daughters and brought them takeout. They thought it was awesome, even 1½ hours later! A total WIN! This place is a definite YES, YES, YES for me!

What an absolutely pleasant surprise to find such good food in an unsuspecting location. I never thought of myself as a Chinese food snob but that’s what I have turned into. Most Chinese food that I encounter in this area is average. The buffet food at the China Inn today was hot, fresh and flavorful. Whoever is cooking there knows what they are doing. The Moo Goo Gai Pan was amazing and the chicken wings were spot on. Everything I tried had very good flavor including the fried rice. That is a big compliment in and of itself. In my opinion, it is rare to find fried rice with good flavor.
My overwhelmingly positive experience was also surprising due to the fact that this was mid afternoon when it wasn’t a peak time for customers to be coming in.
I will definitely go again even though it is not in my immediate area and I highly recommend the China Inn to those who want to try decent Chinese food at a very reasonable price. It is worth the drive!

The food havent been fresh lately and the grease is heavy like everything is oiled down the chicken be fried a lil too hard when I first came here everything was fresh they was bringing fresh food out back to back seems like they just dont care what food they put out there anymore and the rice has been mashed up lately please do better china inn

Best egg rolls in the area. They are not on the bar. The egg rolls are a menu item. China inn has shrimp, pork, and vegetarian egg rolls. Highly recommend the egg rolls.

The other Chinese place in Clinton was closed tonight for door dash so we tried this one. I though the chow would be noodles but it was watery lettuce with chicken, plain rice, and the “cream cheese ragoons” didn’t have much cream cheese in them. Disappointed in our order. Maybe I ordered the wrong things?

China Inn is my favorite restaurant EVER! THE BEST DEAL IN TOWN! You will not find another Chinese restaurant, sit down restaurant, or buffet that can beat their prices.. The best deal in Clinton!! Their General Tso chicken is the best in the world. Bar none. Their lo main is superior. Their EVERYTHING is so good. LOOOOOOOVE CHINA INN! One night they closed early so when I went by their THEY WERE CLOSED AND I GOT SO SCARED!! I formed a prayer chain!!
