Overall: First time eating here, CASH ONLY. Was searching for Chinese food while on my stay for training in the area, and found this was the closest to my hotel. Placed my order and the staff on the phone said it’ll take about 30 minutes. Arrived and my order wasn’t ready yet, and discovered it was only the gentleman who managing all services: cooking, answer phones, and processing transactions. Food was very poor: salty for Singapore Mei Fun, the rice in the House Special Fried Rice was hard, Pork Chop Suey and Chicken Hunan was very salty. Only the white rice and Rangoon taste like it typically should at all chinese restaurants. My verdict, travel to Wausau (about 15-20 minutes away) and grab some better food.
Environment: 1/5 – floor tiles was very dirty and looks like it hasn’t been mopped or maintained daily. The hot water dispenser on the table looked like there was water spots stained onto it. Was observing the cook and noticed that he used the same sauce that was used to cook the vegetables, then placed them onto the top shelf while he cooked other foods. While on the top shelf, the water dripped down onto a pan and he later used it for future dishes to cook.

Ordered this evening. The food tasted like bleach or possibly dishwater. Something was definitely wrong.
Or maybe that chicken was just extra clean.. Will not return

THIS is the place for your Chinese cravings. Authentic, fresh and delicious every single time. We’re repeat customers easily! Never had a poor experience or meal from here. FAIR WARNING: It is a ONE MAN show back there, owner does all of the cooking and order taking himself. It will be about an hour or so wait on busy nights. Don’t let that turn you off though! It is worth the wait.

The chef pays attention to detail! The best Chinese food I ever ate hands down…we ordered the orange chicken which had candied orange in it. Every single dish tasted different and so fresh. It was cooked right in front of us in the galley style kitchen. The vegetable chicken was so delicious…you could taste the fresh lemon in the marinade! And when I opened the house fried rice I could not believe what a beautiful color it was. I could not say enough good things about the attention to detail. Fyi it’s a good idea to call ahead and order over the phone. It is worth the wait.

When I visited my cousin who recently moved to Merrill, we decided to try out this place.
The place looks like it has seen better days, but you know if it’s a sketchy stripemall restaurant, you know the food is gonna slap. We ordered our food and waited for a bit, which was fine since there’s only one guy running the who thing.
We grabbed our food and went back to his place, and oh my god, it slapped so hard. It was the best general tsos and lo mein I have ever had. The guy running the joint is doing magic.
Would highly recommend. Great food at a decent price.

I walked in and he said it would be 10 minutes I didn’t wait more than 5. That was awesome! The portion size for the price was good however my orange chicken lacked the spice I expected. That was the only disappointing part of the meal. I expect orange chicken to have more spice and hotness!

Food use to be the best in town. You had to wait but it was perfect. Then around October I noticed different people cooking. There was always an older gentleman of Asian and a an Asian woman who ran it. Suddenly they were gone and so is the flavor and technique. It lacks flavor. It just isn’t the same. I even tried it again in a month. Still same new people, middle aged woman and a very young girl assisting. My order wasn’t even what I’d ordered. What a shame. We haven’t returned. Please bring back the original staff. The man who was older of Asian decent was a genius.

I ordered 4 lunch specials and 1 regular menu item for co-workers and myself over the phone and was informed it would be approximately 30 to 40 minutes. I noticed half of the order was sitting there when I walked in and was told it would be a few more minutes. After waiting approximately an hour from the time I called, my order was finished. However, in my chow mein, there were no crispy noodles, but rather soupy undercooked veggies. The rice was also not fully cooked leaving most grains dry and crunchy. I understand the man was working alone, but I just ask for honesty with wait time and the food to still be of quality.

While the food is great the timing for pickups leaves alot to be desired. Was told order would take 45 minutes. Was an hour before I arrived and then waited an additional 30 minutes. He hadn’t even begun to prepare it till after I arrived. Another couple that were waiting when I arrived were given their food about 15 minutes after I got there and turns out it was done and sitting on counter the whole time. When told 45 minutes, you better wait an hour and a half before you go.
