China House has been an Ardmore staple for many years. Since moving up here, I’ve wanted to stop in and try it, and I finally did. Happy to say I got it two days in a row!
Portion sizes are very generous, and there was no trouble ordering and grabbing takeout. My Sesame Chicken with Pork-fried rice was delicious, and the crab rangoons were plentyful.
Highly recommend stopping in and trying different stuff.

The restaurant may not seem like much from the outside or the inside, but don’t let that fool you. I have not had anything from here that I did not like. You may have to call back if there is no answer because she is most likely triple tasking to get orders out the door.

They are ALWAYS cooking to order. There has NEVER been anything served cold. They haven’t changed anything, always a great taste and flavorful.. They are the same professional people trying to make an honest living.. I saw a post, something about 9 years later blahblah…and considering all of the above… regardless!!! what does that say about any business in a very small town that isn’t the most diverse town for anyone to be in business as an authentic Chinese restaurant to where open minded people are not abroad.. The restaurant itself is in an older building, but far as their cleanliness, the comment about 9 years later, says enough about the entire place as a whole and their quality of everything.. I can honestly say, I appreciate the job they’ve always done for me. I’m not related or paid to post this… Just a satisfied customer of 9 years and considering how the world has been affected with the pandemic etc, I am glad they are still open and I believe they are as good as anyone in business…..

Ok, so this place is excellent American-Chinese take-out food. You can actually taste Chinese spice instead of plain meat or sauce like other restaurants in the area. Their hot chili oil is one of the best I’ve ever had, including over others from authentic places around San Francisco, California. Orders are accurate and timely. Just call and tell them what you want, say thank you and hang up. They track orders by phone number so just tell them when you pick up.

Great food, good prices, nice and quick service! Only problem we was going to eat inside until we walked through the door it was a little hotter in there than it was outside for some reason… but we just decided to take it home and eat, other than that really great food and service, will go back.

Pretty basic Chinese food, but pretty good considering its Ardmore. The owners are Chinese, but the food style is more in line with the typical Chinese buffet. Prices were cheap though and food was ready pretty fast. Dining room probably maxes out around 10-12 people though. Most people probably take out, but I don’t think the dining room ever gets very crowded.
