I ordered my favorite food from my favorite restaurant China House on alternate 19 in alderman road in the Publix shopping plaza. I absolutely love their food it is hard to get the spicy mustard packets if you ask for them when they deliver them they never bring them if you ask for them while you’re in the store they act like it’s killing them to give them to you not sure why that is but I’m going to include a picture of the packet of spicy mustard I got with my food after I received the packet I no longer wanted to eat my lunch and I’m seriously considering not going to this restaurant ever again! The packet was already opened and looked like it was full of mold.

I’m glad this restaurant is here, I’ve grown up in this area and strongly feel it needed a Chinese restaurant here. They make the food extremely fast and it is very very fresh. All the vegetables are cut large and are fresh and have crunch. I order shrimp and they always give me large sized shrimp. Will always be our go-to place.

This place is a dump. It was so hot inside. The A/C was set at 77 degrees when it was warm and humid outside. When I entered to order lunch, there were a few people waiting to get their food to eat in. My order took 15 minutes to prepare. The cost on the menu totaled $16.78. With tax, that comes to $17.95. I was charged almost $22. There was no automatic tip so that wasn’t the difference. I think they just make up prices on the spot. The prior reviews with overcharging allegations are accurate. The food I received was not good. fries were greasy and some were undercooked. The ribs were blah. The portions were large so that is a plus but when things are not good, who cares how much you get when its inedible. Wont be going there again and I suggest you find another place to eat.

Ordered on uber eats. One of the dishes were not correct. As i am now eating that incorrect dish (i ordered chicken chow mein, got chicken and cabbage. No ricenor fried noodles with it) i chomped down on this piece of plastic and was wedge between my molars. Now i dont like hating on places for this just wanna throw out to be careful with what you eat.

I probably should’ve looked at the reviews before ordering from this place but it was all awful if I’m being honest.. The orange chicken was barely edible it had tons of chewy gross parts in it. I ended up throwing over half of my meal away. You can tell the fried rice had been sitting out a while it was very dry, the lo mein also dry.. zero quality here or attention to detail. Would not recommend.

Pretty poor food to be honest. Had the Shrimp Chow Mein. The shrimp were the size of a button. The egg roll was ok, thankfully but the Chow Mein was cheap, too much celery. One and done.

I normally don’t write reviews, but I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for some time now, and I feel compelled to express my disappointment with my latest experiences. I have seen a major change in service (possibly new owners?). I normally order for delivery, and I have two separate occasions that I will talk about here.
On my first order, the first thing I noticed was the website had changed, and they no longer accepted credit cards. This seemed odd to me, but nonetheless, I wasn’t going to let that stop me from ordering the delivery. I ordered my food and it took over an hour to arrive. I live about 3 minutes away. I thought maybe they had been busy … I realize stuff like that happens.
On my second order which was about 3 weeks later, again, no credit cards accepted. I ordered my food and waited. This time, after an hour I called because I had a friend visiting and we were waiting to start a movie until after we ate dinner. This is where it gets interesting! They answer the phone, and while I am trying to talk, they don’t let me finish my sentence and try to express that the food is on it’s way. I could not really understand the actual words, as the accent was very heavy, but when I asked if the food was on it’s way, they said “yes”. I waited another 20 minutes and called again. Again, I was cut off while asking if the food was on the way. Not sure what was said, but it sounded like it was. Another 20 minutes goes by and finally, it arrives. Over 1 and a half hours delivery time total! I was expecting to perhaps get a complimentary meal, half off the price, or at least a couple of egg rolls thrown in the deal. Instead, they gave me soggy steamed dumplings and a regular Pepsi when I ordered Diet Pepsi (which I realized only after my blood sugar levels went sky high because I’m a diabetic). To top it off, they also forgot the fortune cookies. If I am not mistaken, this is the traditional Chinese way of saying “thank you”. So, this was an insult within itself. Sadly, I will not be ordering from this China House again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!
