I have ordered from China Gourmet for a number of years and typically the quality of food is good. However, recently my order was of poor quality. The rice was mushy and seemed overcooked the egg rolls also looked overcooked. This was an unfortunate experience as I was entertaining guest and had placed a large order. I did call them to provide feedback and was told it is probably the rice grain again and would let the chef know. This was disappointing as I would expect that they would not give customers food that was not cooking properly. In my opinion the look of the food was not appealing. However they were willing to package and sell it anyway. So disappointing in terms of the willingness to sell subpar food. I will no longer recommend China Gourmet.

Was looking for Chinese food n my regular spot is closed so I gave them a try. It’s fresh n made to order. The employees were quiet but nice. Fast service!! Ordered to go. I would come back again!! Even got a lucky fortune cookie with two!!!
They are located in a tough neighborhood so you just mind your own business & you are good to go.

I don’t know what’s up with these previous reviews but I tell you this is a hidden little gem! The food is fresh meat to order yummy and great ingredients. Sure is it a crappy part of town but that’s not their fault. Their food is great atmosphere is basic but clean. The only downside I would say is that they are joining the pack of no public restrooms available, which is BS especially if you’re doing business at an establishment but the food was awesome and I got to say it sorry panda they knocked the socks out of you ! Try this place you won’t be sorry!

The absolute worst example of Chinese food I’ve ever tasted. Sesame chicken is hard. Egg roll is guey inside and the rice smells like it came from somewhere rice should not come from.

Ordered lunch togo so can’t say much about atmosphere. Boneless BBQ pork is flavorful but a bit dry hence some pieces are tough unfortunately. If they make it less dry, I might consider trying it again. Pork fried rice is decent. Eggroll is just like other typical Chinese restaurants.

I want to love this place, so far this is the only Chinese place I’ve found that is close to what I am used to. Flavor wise it’s there but they skimp on ingredients. I got “Beef and Brocolli” and “Cashew Chicken”. Both dishes probably contained 10% meat. Our Cashew Chicken was just drowning in celery.
Still looking for a good Chinese food, but this is a good stop gap.

The shrimp and broccoli was really good–nice brown sauce The roast pork mei fun was excellent–plenty of pork, egg and scallions. The egg rolls are big similar to the style in NY. I also like that they give you roast pork fried rice in the combo meals (even though it’s a very small amount). Very friendly people. Very reasonable prices. Love this place.

I hate to leave a low score, but we came to check this place out. Sorry, I forgot to get pictures of the food, but I just completely lost interest after one bite of each thing.
We ordered 4 different plates and were not able to eat any of them. I ended up giving the food to my friends and dogs. First of all the prices are really cheap and they are fast and friendly but that’s about it for the positive.
4 lunch specials
Egg rolls were decent but too creamy/soggy in the middle. 3/5*
We tried wonton egg drop and hot and sour soup all of them liked taste imo 3/5*
Orange chicken rice tasted burnt, no veggies, and sauce on chicken tasted like sweet and sour with too much breading and dry 2/5*
Beef Broccoli was OK, but the broccoli was soggy/watery like it was frozen. Noodles liked taste and were also very soggy.2/5
Shrimp fried rice and shrimp noodles..same thing rice was dry tasted burnt and shrimp are the small pre frozen ones you get already cooked so they liked flavor as well.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend eating here, but anything is worth trying once. Like I said, nice people, but my job here is to review restaurants and give my feedback to you guys. 10+ million views and growing, so I will continue!
Thanks for viewing this review.

What a great find we had here. Just dropped in for some take-out and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our dinner. Honestly the best Chinese take-out we’ve had in a long time. We will be marking this as one of our favorites.

Good food. They make some great chicken wings. I get 3 chicken wings with shrimp and fried rice, soooo good and fulfilling. Last you a couple days.
