This is my go-to Chinese food restaurant in RI. I’ve tried many on the island and other parts of RI but this has the best taste IMO at least with respect to dishes like chicken with broccoli. Egg rolls were good too

I have ordered from China Gourmet for many, many years, as long as they have had a restaurant there, Hands down they are the best Chinese restaurant that I have ever gotten food from. The food is delicious and they have never confused an order. I always get an order when we have company and everyone else is also extremely pleased! The black plastic containers they put their battered “crunchy” chicken in gets the food as mushy and as possible. So I thought okay that’s a huge L on their part but I’m sure if I go pick it up right away my General tsao’s will have it’s tradition crunchy batter! Nope. I just moved to the area I had people over. I placed an order for almost $100 from these people and they forgot two things maybe a pie cost them about $10 instead of just admitting the mistake and sending me the stuff they they want to order they basically said that I didn’t screw it up and it’s on me. What kind of service is that do not order from this place they will take your money and then they just hang up on you. They’re rude that ignorant Ant and honestly I would never ever call them again. You’re gonna screw up a potential customer over seven dollars and in material makes no sense sense horrible business practice and just rude and ignorant do not use them do not call them do not order from them

This happened last year when I ordered from there and I was hoping it was not going to happen again; but I ordered the BEEF CHOW MEIN and got the CHICKEN which I HATE! Nothing like driving 30mins to get food to go home and not even eat my dinner. This has happened both times I’ve ordered it and yes I checked my online order and it was BEEF. Super disappointing, I was like “theres no way thats going to happen again”

Being in the industry myself, I will only dine in a small few number of other restaurants. This is my 4th delivery order with China Gourmet and I’m still impressed. The food is consistently prepared with fresh ingredients, excellent flavor, cooked clean, and arrives hot each time. Delivery time is as promised. So thrilled they’re here in town. Excellence.
