I would never give this place anything less than 5 stars! My husband and I moved over an hour away and we travel back to Amery just to eat here. The food is always phenomenal and the people are kind. The bathrooms are a little sketchy and the ambiance isn’t quite there but why does it matter! The food is delicious. They just added coconut shrimp and 10/10 would recommend.

I am so grateful for China Garden Restaurant in Amery for serving Chinese food with fresh ingredients. I have eaten there many times, and it seems that most people get take out. As you can see from my photos of our lunch specials, they use fresh vegetables, not frozen- celery, zucchini, bell peppers, and carrots. With that being said, you can see from the pics that there aren’t any veg or eggs in the fried rice. My personal favorite is the Cashew Chicken. My husband likes the Kung Pao Beef. The cream cheese wontons are handmade. All of the flavors are there that you would expect. The lunch pricing is extremely affordable and the dinner items are, too, considering there are at least two servings for each entree. The atmosphere isn’t anything to write home about. I don’t like that they use styrofoam and I have been given plastic utensils when eating there. All of those things are minor considering why I like to eat there- the food. If you are sick of deep fried foods, hamburgers, and pizza- this is the place to go!

Was very disappointed my wife and I went there for lunch and they were really slow getting our meal to us and there was only 2 other tables with 6 people at both tables. My children wings were way over cooked and the hot and sour soup was ok at best, my wife had wonton soup and fried wontons and the wontons tasted stale,I had one to try, both in the soup and “fried” the fried wontons were soggy. On top of that our soups were delivered to the table in to go containers and everything else was survived on paper plates, what kind of restaurant serves you food like that besides fast food restaurants?

Everything I ordered had incredible flavor. Sesame Chicken and Orange Chicken is an addiction. I come here often, and from the about 5 meals I usually get, they all have me loving every bite. The service was great, you get your food very quickly and everyone is so nice. The atmosphere is great. There is much decoration, and it gives a great vibe. I love this place!

Delicious Chinese American food. Orange chicken tastes like what it did when I was younger. Seems like a lot of places just don’t have the flavor anymore but this one was great. Steamed dumplings very good. Not rubbery. We ate in, there’s the strip mall vibe here so eating in is not the best but they did deliver to our table. It’s my only go-to Chinese for Polk county.

I absolutely love the service. It had been a while since I was here, but it is still one of my favorite places to dine out in Amery. The Lo Mein is always delicious. I definitely recommend China Garden.

Went there first time tonight and, no kidding, we’re going back tomorrow night. Best egg rolls and wontons we’ve ever had, and the pork chow mein was excellent. Perfectly stir fried veggies, moist and tender pork and excellent sauce that didn’t feel oily. Can’t wait to try out several things on the menu.

Ordered food for the 1st time from this place since it was close where I was working. And literally nothing has flavor to the food. Beef fried rice , chicken sticks literally have no seasonings.
