To be clear, I am writing this review about ONE item only. It is all I ordered. It’s the steamed dumplings. Happened upon this place in my travels and was pleasantly surprised. If you like the old school steamed dumplings, i.e., the thicker dough type rather than what 99% of chinese restaurants serve (which is awful thin tiny things that do not ever warrant a purchase), you will love these dumplings. They are not super huge but are a good size and at this writing it was $6.75 for 8. I visit the Falls a bunch and will be returning to sample other fare. The atmosphere is typical chinese restaurant in my opinion. Which is just fine.

We were looking for a place to eat near Niagara Falls but the area felt like a bit of a ghost town—not many options around. We ended up at China Garden Restaurant. The place is quite big, but we were the only dine-in customers, which made it feel a little empty. It seems like most of their business is takeout or delivery. That said, the food was great—fresh, tasty, and just what we needed. We really enjoyed it!

This is one of the two best options for Chinese takeout in the falls (in my opinion). Portions are large, the food is fresh as one would expect. And the lady that runs the joint is squared away and kind, but yells back at her chef like a CCP drill instructor and I like it.Shes serious. You can call at exactly the minute before close and she’ll still take your order as long as you are there to get it within 10 minutes. Don’t waste her time. She’ll remember you and you won’t get that last second order privilege again. Most Chinese restaurants in this city are take out only. So don’t expect some sort of perfect family atmosphere for a wonderful Chinese dinner. Get it,go home and enjoy it. This is my go to take out joint,but I dibby up my purchases among all the good foreign takeout food places which we have many of in the falls.

Highly recommend the chicken wings! You can’t beat the price. I was just craving some Chinese food and stumbled upon this hidden gem. The owner may not be super talkative, but the food definitely speaks for itself. They even accommodated my special requests. Definitely worth a try!

First time visiting the area from FL, found it because we stopped next door for donuts. So glad we stopped in and ordered the food was great! I didn’t even look at the reviews before we walked in and I’m glad I didn’t because our experience was completely different from the reviews. Everything was hot and fresh and delicious!!

The young woman at the front desk wasn’t very polite, it seemed like she was very annoyed that she had to be helping customers, and put a damper on my visit. I ordered bbq ribs, and what happened was basically some girl wearing pajamas who looked like she was 12 years old came out the back just took some of the ribs out of the fridge up front and just re-heated them on the fryer. They were very tough and not juicy at all. The won ton and egg roles were okay though. I get that it’s a family business and all, but I’m not even sure it’s legal to have a kid that young operate a deep grease fryer.
