Let’s start with the primary reason for coming here. It’s dang good Chinese food. We eat here every time we visit Estes. We do the the orange chicken a lot, but also love the Pad Thai. The appetizers are fun to try different things. The humans wife team work the place themselves and do a great job! The restaurant is well kept and clean. It is “carry out” only no dine in options, but with Rock Cut brewery next door even when dining in was an option we alway took the food next door to enjoy a great beer.

When Covid hit they switched to “carry out” and remain this way. When asked why they kept the “carry out” model she said it’s nice to support each other. The neighboring brewery send business to her and she send business to them. Long story short you can dine in at Rock Cut brewing.

This is a great place to grab some amazing Chinese from good people while in Estes Park.

Pretty sure they microwaved this general tso chicken before frying it. I heard them using the microwave various times and i was only customer. Some chunks were harder than beef jerky. You can see in the one piece. I couldnt even bite into it. There is almost no chicken and its rock hard. Wasnt the only piece either. I found most pieces inedible. With just a ton of soaked batter.

I also ordered lo mein which came with lots of noodles but way too much pork. In tiny strips and barely any veggies to balance it. Wont be returning….

Under new ownership! Kelly and David are amazing. The food is SO good! The restaurant is still take out only, but you can eat your takeout food at their tables if you like. I believe they are still assessing whether they will have regular dine in availability. The vegetables were very fresh and the tofu was excellent. Give it a try!

New ownership since just 3 weeks ago. Welcome to Estes Park, Kelly and David! I brought a party of 8 to eat inside today for their lunch menu (13-15 bucks each) and it was awesome! Everyone was super hungry and the portions were big with over half, taking home leftovers for dinner tonight. Comes with plain or fried rice plus a spring roll. As new owners, Kelly and David are assessing if dining in (unlike previous owner) is viable so takeout boxes/plasticware/water bottles (not free) were used for eating in. Bring your own water bottles as an easy solution. Estes folks know that workforce is tough in offseason so these new owners will be testing out the dine-in vs only takeout options. I hope they can do both. Thank you Kelly and David – friendly service with delicious, fresh vegetables and very generous portions at affordable prices! Especially the lunch menu! Will have to come back for dinner soon!

Best Asian food in town. The curry is incredible.

Seriously ignore the bad reviews. Estes gets lots of uppity tourists who are just in a bad mood because they didn’t get up early enough to get a parking spot at bear lake.

FYI: takeout only for now. It’s hard to get good help in the mountain towns.

We went there during Christmas so they were very busy, not sure what it is like on other occasions. The food is good but they were doing take out only and we weren’t aware of that before coming in. The service wasn’t top notch but they were probably the only open restaurant in town and were taking many orders over the phone and walk-ins as well, so we think that was probably why. I would very likely eat there again if I’m ever around Estes Park.

We only ordered takeout and it was decent food, but almost $50 for 3 entrees doesn’t sit well with me for a carry out only, less than classy location. I’ve eaten places like this before and decent food is usually affordable food. Not so here. They know it’s a tourist location so they charge double what they should. Still, food was good. Just not THAT good.

Our experience here was so devastating, we were looking forward to the food so much but our waitress put such a sour taste in our mouths, we would just like to warn those who are debating on coming here. First off it’s a small restaurant, not a big deal just something to think about with bigger parties. We had a party of 9 and the moment we walked in the door our waitress was giving us stink eye after stink eye. She was impatient and didn’t speak english very well. My family is from asian heritage and were still treated badly. The prices were very expensive compared to the best chinese we have back home, and we questioned that, she explained that it was a family style restaurant which we were okay with, we ordered maybe 5 dishes or so and waited and waited and waited. At one point ALL of our water cups were empty waiting to be filled. We didn’t even see our waitress for 20-25 minutes after placing our order. There was a table to two gentleman next to us also receiving the poor service. Once the food finally came out she still didn’t bother to ask if we’d like more water or refill them, we had to ask her 10 minutes after our food was served to get more. The food was surprisingly good, but the portions were smaller than a individual plate that we have 45 minutes away, and we were unsure how it was supposed to be “family style.” We finished all of our food and waited for another 20 minutes after eating to just receive the check. She was one of the worst people/servers I have ever had, with no sympathy or recognition that she was in the wrong here. If you crave chinese up here look for any other place or order togo, we left still hungry and upset from the awful service.

Upon entering, I was not greeted by anybody. I waited over five minutes at the counter and no one even stuck her head out to see if anyone was in the restaurant. Yet, you could hear them yelling talking very loudly at each other in the back. There was money left all over the tables from a previous gathering or group. Anyone could have just walked in and taking it and they would never have noticed. When I finally got seated and placed my order, I was given a drink that had rice floating all in it. I had to wait another 10 minutes before someone came back out to tell them about the rice. They replaced that drink right away, but that drink also had rice floating in it. When she asked what I wanted to do, I said how about a drink with no ice in it. It seemed that they had spilled rice inside of their icemaker. This time when my drink came, there was no rice whatsoever in my Dr Pepper. The sweet-and-sour pork that I ordered was very delicious though. It was exactly what I wanted. It’s a shame that their food is good but the service is not. I would rather go somewhere else next time.
