Let’s start with the service. The man behind the counter was great. Felt very comfortable with payment and questions.

Atmosphere: Very outdated and back room ish. Wasn’t much entertainment (like tvs) on and was just dark and quiet.

Food: HORRIBLE. This location doesn’t get the amount of customers the E Bert Kouns Ind Loop does, so they slack off on having this hot and filled. At any given time you can go there and not having multiple foods available.

In the pictures I’ve included explains it all.

The crab rations were mangled and overfilled. The chicken was dark and not pleasant at all. The oysters were not from the original clam. And you can tell because they have no type of connection between the two. They oyster just slides off. Oh and the potatoes taste like they were slow tied in dirty grease.

Save your money and go to the other location in Shreveport.

Honestly expect to pay 20 plus per person for food that taste stale and old. Just get microwaveable chinese food from the store and eat at home. I guarantee you it will take better than this overpriced slop. It was probably the worst chinese food I’ve ever tasted in my 30 plus years on this earth. No im not being dramatic… it’s really just that bad. Server was friendly though.

Chinese restaurants aren’t known to be beacons of high quality cuisine and China Flag lives up to that reputation. I sampled many different dishes and common dishes like General Tao’s Chicken were subpar. The food temperature was quite low which made it even less enjoyable.

The saving grace for me was the fried rice and black pepper chicken. They were very good. Another plus is the grill bar where you can create your own concoction that is grilled for you on the flat top. At least this food was hot.

The real surprise was when we went to check out and were charged more for having a large party. (It was after church and we had 7 people) This is a buffet where you get your own food! Why are you charging me more when you aren’t waiting on me???

Between the below average food, the lack of the food being hot, and the overcharging, this will probably be a one and done for me. I probably won’t go back.

I came in here from time to time. The food is OK but what got me tonight was the lady’s restroom. I went in before I sat down to eat. It was so nasty in there. I told the man at the register that it needed major attention and simply said “ok”. When I went back to the restroom before leaving everything was still the same. Nothing had been touched. The handicapped stall had water all over the floor and the trash cans were overflowing.

12-20-19 lunchtime. I skipped breakfast today. List try a buffet for lunch. When I first walked through the doors the location appeared to be clean and spacious. All of the food trays were full of food and had good presentation. The food taste pretty good for being a buffet. The waiter I had was not very sociable and did not come around often. Other than that I had a good experience and I would return to this location. Good job

I just ate at china flag.(airline) There was stuff in the bottom of the cup that we were drinking out of. we didn’t notice until after. The noodles tasted stale and made me sick. Once I confronted the person in charge he just took money off for the drinks when I didn’t even eat. I told him I didn’t even eat and that I felt sick and I told him how would we proceed if I got sick and he said I would have to go to the doctor and bring a note back to get a refund. If anyone goes there be careful don’t go in the afternoons and try not the eat stale noodles.

Food is behind. Everything is so full of sugar. Flavor profiles run together. This place needs a serious deep cleaning. Chairs, walls, tables…all of it. Staff is nice. Kids love it here so we stop from time to time on a rushed day. Plenty of options.

Honestly the food was LACKING SALT. And I never go somewhere and say: this needs salt. Like what!? I have gone to the Shreveport location and I love their buttered potatoes, spaghetti and salmon. The buttered potatoes tasted wrong, the spaghetti was not it! It wasn’t like what I had had at this location a while back. And the salmon, there wasn’t ANY! Like there were tiny pieces floating around and it didn’t get restocked.
The one thing that I did like from there was their garlic bread and I’ve always liked it. They don’t have it at the Shreveport location so I just really enjoyed that.

The floor: STICKY. You could feel your shoes sticking to floor.
The chairs: GRIMY. STICKY. DIRTY. Like I had to wash my hands right after touching it.

I could see fingerprints from oily fingers on the glass, other chairs, everywhere. EW.

I didn’t even sit back in my chair from how grimy it was. The utensils you use to serve yourself were oily and greasy. I get it’s been touched by many people but like clean it or change it! Do something.

The server probably stopped at our table twice and that was to pick up our dishes. And I couldn’t enjoy my food. There was BARELY ANYONE there and the server just stood there looking around. I expected better service and something cleaner.
There was such a low amount of food in the trays and on one of my trips I caught a waft of something terrible. Like bathroom stink and I was FAR AWAY from the bathrooms.

The party room was turned off, dusty and dirty. A while back (maybe 12 years or so ago) it was open because people actually showed up and they were hygienic.

NOW THERE IS NO ONE. AND I KNOW WHY.
So like don’t go, it’s not really sanitary once you step in.

My brother promised it was clean and sanitary now. Because we had gone years ago and it had started getting nasty.
My fortune cookie read: “When you make a promise to someone about something, keep it.”

He didn’t keep the promise.

Very bad dining experience. All of the food had been sitting out too long and was not fresh. Many of the items were tough and hard to chew and bites of certain dishes turned the stomachs of my dining companions. And if the food wasn’t bad enough, the restaurant itself was very dirty, to the point it made us all uncomfortable, and after a visit to the restroom, we decided to count the $40 dollars we spent as a loss and just left. I love Chinese buffets and was looking forward to a great dinner, but walked away highly disappointed. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
