I don’t ever really do reviews, but this is by FAR the WORST food I’ve ever attempted to eat… the chicken was spoiled and not even cooked all the way, and even from looking at it I should have never tried to taste it. Was supposed to be general tso, idk what this was. Even the veggies were bland and the rice was just as bad. Ive eaten a lot of bad things from places and hands down this is the most disgusting!!!! I can’t emphasize that enough!!!! And I didn’t even mention the 35 min wait for this. Insane.

China Express has always been my mom’s go-to spot whenever she’s craving something after a Walmart shopping trip. Shirley is such a kind and hardworking woman who always serves up delicious food. I love the teriyaki sticks they have & it’s so convenient calling in the order and having it ready at a reasonable time. It’s a lovely place in Newton, and I highly recommend it.

Great flavor! I got the Bean Curd and mixed vegetables with fried rice. I could taste the fresh ginger and garlic. Delicious! Very friendly lady at the front desk. And they have tons of lunch platters served all day! I will be back real soon. One of the better Chinese restaurants I’ve tried around here. My dog really approves of their cooking also! See photo. Incredible service and friendly staff. They treat you like family less than a customer! If I lived in the hickory area I would 100% make this a regular stop. It’s hard to find Chinese this reasonable that taste this good.

Decided to order here when our favorite China house was closed. Person on the phone was helpful in deciding options. Was told would be ready in 15-20 minutes, sent my husband to pick up since I had my kiddos with me and they wouldn’t be happy waiting that long. He had to wait double the time expressed when ordered. Chicken pieces were very small and way too spicy despite making it known mild was the preferred option. Fried dumplings were very good. Will wait for my normal China house to open back up before ordering China express again.
