Fantastic Lunch Deal in Carmel!
Stumbled upon this gem of a Chinese restaurant in Carmel and was blown away by the lunch special. For just $11, I got soup, an egg roll, rice, and a main course—an unbeatable deal, especially in a tourist town!
The food was delicious—fresh, flavorful, and piping hot. Portions were generous (almost dinner-sized!), and everything tasted homemade. The egg roll was crispy, the soup comforting, and the main dish hit the spot.
If you’re looking for a satisfying, affordable meal in Carmel, this place delivers. I’ll definitely be back!

I wish for veggies in the Hunan beef and more sauce (each restaurant has its own version, this is not my favorite)
Almond duck was topped up with red sauce (just like the sweet and sour sauce I got at some place that comes with the egg rolls). I’m disappointed with the dish, but I think it’s the way this restaurant does it.

This place is gem. Very good food, good quantity. Probably the best veggie dishes Ive had. The prices are remarkably good, especially for this area. Its deceptive in that the decor is very nice so it looks like it would be expensive, but its not. I hesitate to say its a great value because that makes it sound cheap, but it really is great food, atmosphere and service and also price. Of course the takeout is my go to. A super family run place in the Crossroads (Sweet Reba’s, MYO, etc) away from throngs of tourists. Man I love it here!

Phenomenal authentic Chinese food! We went in for dinner and ordered Hunan beef, chow fun, sizzling rice soup, and egg rolls. Everything was delicious and the service was great. If you are looking for an outstanding, local, family owned restaurant make sure to go to China Delight. Phenomenal food, great service, fair prices.

China delight is a hidden jem in Carmel. It is our go-to for fresh, well prepared Chinese food. The owners are incredibly nice and the food comes out very quickly. The sweet and sour pork is fresh – crisp veggies and pineapple as well as a sauce that is not too sweet. There are some nice vegan options like the veggie soup with tofu.

I liked the sweet and sour shrimp, but the chow mein and honey-orange chicken was not great. The dishes were authentic chinese taste, very different from fast-food chinese places. Maybe that’s why we didn’t like them that much…
