Stopped for lunch was very busy but still tables available. Food was refilled as soon as it got low. Great flavors. Service was fast. I would go again next time I’m in South Milwaukee!

So disappointed
I ordered shrimp egg foo young and so so disappointed.
The bag was full of grease but moved on thinking it may not be that bad, so I took the patties out of the container onto paper towels.
No taste, as you can see the patties barely kept the form of a patty, very grease.
My Singapore noodles in a styrofoam container so it spilled all into the plastic bag.
I choose this place due to the rating.

The lunch buffet was a very pleasant surprise. It wasn’t the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, but if we’re discussing a quality/value quotient, China Chef is the undisputed Chairman of the Milwaukee area! Every food I tasted from the buffet was fresh, hot and delicious, and although it’s out of my way to eat there, I would never hesitate going back.

I’ve been hesitant to order food from here based on the last take out order I had. I ordered the general Tao’s chicken and the color was different and a lot of the pieces were all fat. Not a lot of chicken….I don’t know what it was. That was 4 years ago. I will try it again and see if the quality is what it used to be. China chef was the only Chinese restaurant I would go to. Will give an update later.

What a great little find.
Service was great. Friendly staff. Attentive.
Food was amazing. Great flavor. Very large portions at great prices. Dishes that are served with white rice come as a bowl of rice for the table to share, and then a small serving platter of your entre. You receive an empty plate to prepare your meal yourself, and let me tell you, there is so much on the platter I have two additional meals. I had Crab Rangoons and then the Beef with Broccoli. Good flavor. I’ve ordered these at other places and found them to be very bland. Not here. Also ordered was the Egg Foo Young, Seafood Medley, and the Crispy Duck. Everyone enjoyed their meals and all took home leftovers for another day.
The only reason for the four stars was because they either don’t have a/c, it was broken, or they didn’t turn it on so it made it very warm inside.

Beautiful new patio! So nice to enjoy Chinese beer and Japanese wine on a gorgeous summer afternoon. Yummy egg rolls and hand made northern Chinese dumplings were great! Loved the fried rice, general tsos chicken and pepper steak!

I ordered takeout. The crab Rangoon was burnt. The fried rice was burnt as well as the orange chicken (looked like blackened chicken) Of which you could barely make out chicken in the blobs, of what was supposed to be orange chicken! The curry chicken was more like soup! All this for $50. I will never order out or eat at this restaurant. This was our first time and our last!!!!

We enjoyed our meal here. Today was the first time at this restaurant. They offered some dishes that didn’t seem like the run of the mill Chinese fare, and we enjoyed them. The food was good and the service was good also. The prices were very reasonable. We will plan on going back someday.

Came back to WI for a small stay after 5 years and decided to go back to our favorite Chinese restaurant. Was not disappointed at all. The food is still as tasty as it was those years ago and just as fresh! The only thing to be aware of is there is a wait time. About 20-30 minutes because there are so many take-out orders. A sign of good business but for those who want to sit in to eat, be ready to wait a bit. Try the Honey Chicken, it will make your wait time worth it. 9/10!
