Initially I had high hopes for this Chinese restaurant based on the reviews but unfortunately it turned out to be very disappointing and our bill was almost double what we expected. Most of the food lacked favor, for example the candy pork was not sweet and had very little flavor. Smoked pork Jerky tasted better. Worst yet the subgum chicken tasted like ranced oil. The Amazing chicken was not amazing, but would have been better named “bland chicken”. Initially we were not provided with the luncheon menu even though it was still well within the luncheon window. The luncheon specials includes beef teriyaki for a small up charge which we requested. Instead we were charged for two full orders of beef teriyaki not the appetizer charge. So if they deliver more then two small beef teriyaki per special they are likely trying to increase your bill cost. We wanted a smaller meal, the reason for ordering from the lunch menu, but the actual food served was far smaller the expected compaired to other Chinese restaurants. The amount of fried rice was what I expected but the actual menu item was more like a sampling.

The food was not bad at all, but over shadowed by the terrible waitress who just seemed to be very unhappy about being there. Was rude if you asked for any substitutes and even rolled her eyes when someone in our party asked for extra sauce for something.
4 stars because the gentleman running through bar was great and made sure we got a seat rather quickly on a very busy night.

First time in The front of house gentlemen was perfect, I ordered pupu for 2 and dinner general’s chix the gen chix only 4 small pieces of chicken. I paid $43 for lunch meal portions when I paid for dinner this was way way way over priced for the little food they put in this was the biggest rip-off. Plus the food is extremely bland. I love Chinese food but this place sorry to say failed me horribly wrong. I’ll dont know if I’ll honestly go back to even try again. The food supposed to keep people not push them away.

The atmosphere is very clean, welcoming and a bit retro
The service was warm, courteous and professional.
I started with a cup of wonton soup that was very tasty, warm, and yummy ! The luncheon plate I ordered was delicious, flavors perfect, also the house lo-mein was amazing. I left there full with enough key overs for myself and my husband for a light lunch. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend eating here. The owners really focus on providing a great dining experience and strive for satisfied customers!

First of all, the kid at the front desk knows nothing about the dishes and had to ask the owner every time. Second, see the photos, those were $12.95 each. What a joke. They forgot putting rice into the bag as well. The chow mein came with flakes of beef. Avoid this one at most.

Great atmosphere and the owners dedication to the dining room is a nice touch but the food was a little lacking. I got the sweet and sour pork w/ fried rice.
Fried rice was really good though.

China Chef has been a go-to spot for my family, and we’ve always had a great experience. The owner is super friendly and clearly cares about his customers. The food is consistently tasty – always hits the spot. Portions can be a little on the smaller side sometimes, but the quality is solid. The place has a bit of an old-school, retro vibe that actually makes it kind of charming. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re craving some good Chinese food in the valley.

Worst Chinese food I have ever had!! I could tell it was cooked in old oil. Boneless pork was as hard as a rock. Chicken wings looked like they are from a parakeet. Do not waste your money here!
