I remember first going to China Cafe when still in high school nearly 20 years ago. The food came in dishes shaped like boats, which was a first for me at the time. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve seen anywhere else serve food in such containers. At any rate, I hadn’t been back to China Cafe since returning to the Quad Cities a few years ago, so tonight I decided to stop in for some Mongolian beef and dumplings in a boat.

Very unsatisfied. Had my food delivered due to my fiancé having the car, and they forgot my egg drop soup. I called the restaurant and was told all they could do was a refund. They couldn’t send it back out due to delivery being through a third party. Then was told if I would have done a pick up order I could have made sure all my food was there. Finally sat down to eat and my chicken fried rice was very dry and one of my egg rolls were burnt. Very sad and unsatisfied dinner

You can’t go wrong here. Food is flavorful, and the portions are big. You definitely get your money’s worth. Service is always fast and friendly. This is one of my favorite spots to order from. This is a must try in the QC area.

I have always loved this place and went to it for years. The prices aren’t too bad considering how bad inflation is getting. The food came quick but the quality was still fantastic! They can also modify the foods such as salt content or which veggies I want or don’t want. Rarely do they miss something but they are always able to give a refund, the next meal free, or remake it. I definitely recommend this place!

Ordered take out via on-line. For some reason they charged a “service charge” of about 10%. I have no idea why. The only service was for them to prepare the food and hand it to us and that is what the cost of the food was supposed to cover.. Then they forgot part of the order. Egg rolls were tough. do not recommend. looking for a quality Chinese restaurant and this isn’t one of them.

Very expensive considering the portion and quality. They made the food really fast and maybe too fast. The lo mien was not well stir fried. It’s just bland and sulky. The dish that comes with rice, small size cost us $8.29!!! I mean other Chinese restaurants in the area sell the same thing at 6 ish or even 5 ish, taste better and come in a bigger portion (main thing separated from rice which makes it not sulky). It’s just not good. Not to add that the lady was so rude and mean. As a local myself, I would recommend you go to China City by Northwest blvd. So much better, food, price and the service…

Used to be our favorite local Chinese spot… The food has become mediocre at best. The biggest disappointment is that they have changed their crab rangoon that used to be phenomenal- best around – and is now the same as anywhere else. They went from a light, airy, crispy wonton wrapper to the thick, stale, gross wrapper you get everywhere. So sad to no longer be able to recommend this restaurant and now be on the lookout for a new place to find good Chinese

Used to love China cafe but the quality of food has gone way downhill. Both entrees were super runny with very little flavor. Will not be ordering from them again after this order.

#chinaCafe Davenport Iowa. Was one of the only places open late near the hotel. My husband had an excellent #hotSourSoup and #generalTsoChicken and I had one of the best #singaporeNoodle dishes I’ve ever had. So much meat and nice spice to the curry. I love noodles. I can’t stop thinking about how good the Singapore Noodles were.

This place has a special place in my heart. I hadn’t been in years (probably since 2013) but used to go here a couple times a month, sometimes more. I chatted with the woman who greated customers at the door often and sent many friends and acquaintances there. I went recently (Mar 2023) and it must be under new management/ownership (new faces). I ordered the beef lo mein, as I always did. It was ok, nothing exceptional but good. The crab rangoon were great. The bathroom was a little dirty and there was a sewer smell back in that corner (not in the dining area where I sat). It was an ok meal, just not quite as good as it used to be.
