Service is friendly and attentive, with staff keeping tables cleared and drinks refreshed without ever feeling intrusive. The dining area is clean, orderly, and well‑maintained, which makes the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a dependable buffet with good service, plenty of options, and a tidy dining environment, China Buffet is a strong choice.
PS: Dinner prices start at 4pm and are a few dollars more BUT they add more selections for dinner and those selections are great too!
If you’re in the mood for a high-quality Chinese buffet that combines variety, freshness, and exceptional service, China Buffet in Torrance is a must-visit. This restaurant impresses from the moment you step in—not just for its sheer size but also for its immaculate cleanliness, an often-overlooked detail that sets the tone for a premium buffet experience.
Ambiance & Service
China Buffet is remarkably well-organized, spacious, and spotless, making it one of the cleanest buffet establishments you’ll find. The service is nothing short of excellent; from the moment you enter, the friendly and attentive staff—from the host to the cashier—ensure a smooth dining experience. You prepay for the buffet at the front before being seated, which streamlines the experience and allows you to enjoy your meal without interruptions.
Food Quality & Selection
The variety of food is impressive. Everything is fresh, from the crisp, vibrant vegetables to the beautifully presented sushi. Often, buffets can fall short when it comes to sushi, but here, each piece is fresh, well-prepared, and replenished regularly. The hot dishes maintain their integrity, never feeling like they’ve been sitting out for too long. The selection covers all the classics, from savory stir-fries to perfectly seasoned seafood, making it an excellent choice for any palate.
Pricing & Value
Perhaps one of the most remarkable aspects of China Buffet is its affordability. At just $18.99 per person, it offers incredible value considering the quality and variety of food provided. Soft drinks are an additional $2.35, and with tax, the total comes to a mere $23.37—a steal in an area where a simple sandwich can cost the same.
Convenience & Parking
Another great perk is the large and accessible parking area, which makes dining here stress-free. Additionally, their lunch service extends until 4:00 PM, giving guests more flexibility, especially for those who prefer to enjoy a late lunch at an unbeatable price.
Final Verdict
China Buffet in Torrance is a hidden gem that delivers on all fronts—cleanliness, freshness, service, variety, and value. With a well-maintained buffet, incredibly fresh ingredients, and a team dedicated to customer satisfaction, it offers a dining experience that far exceeds its modest price point. If you’re looking for an affordable yet high-quality buffet experience in the area, this is the place to go. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommended!
We arrived at 12:30p and timing was just right before the lunch crowd, there were so many waiting outside to get in as they have limited seating inside. They also have limited servers so the drinks aren’t getting filled as often and they don’t give you attitude when you flag them down for it.
I was so stuffed from just visiting the two middle section which consist of hot food. Didn’t have anymore room for sushi or dessert unfortunately. Too bad the ice cream machine was broken
Meal type: …
They have great service. I highly recommend this place.
I felt like the staff were friendly and it was mostly clean, but it’s definitely dated and could use a little maintenance.
Some food items were pretty good (taro buns, eggrolls, bacon wrapped imitation crab bites, etc.), but most were just “okay”.
Price was reasonable at about $16/person.
So although nothing really stands out, no major complaints either.
