Ate here with the Missus yesterday. Food was good and decent. Not super amazing but not bad either, it’s very much what you’d expect from your local Chinese style buffet.
The interior could be cleaner. From the booth that we were sat at, we could see the empty boxes for the drinks. Diners shouldn’t have to see that. Apart from some interior tidying, we had a good experience.

Five Elements
This is the best Asian buffet I’ve ever been to. I could say probably after 30 years, most are kind of dingy and the food always seems not kept fresh on the hot bar. This place, everything looks fresh, they are regularly changing out food and refreshing the pans. Excellent Chinese restaurant. If you like Asian food mixed with some American favorites, this is definitely the place. First time I’ve ever been here. Will be the first of many to come.

Mannnnn, I want to love this place but every time we eat here, we end up with bubble guts and then the liquids. (if you catch my drift). The restaurant is clean and the wait staff are always super sweet. But someone NEEDS to do something about all the small children making their own plates. We watched several littles try to use the tongs but then use their hands instead. Picking up food and then tossing it back into the serving trays. Tonight wasn’t the first night we’ve witnessed this and it’s absolutely disgusting! Not to mention, all those who allow their kids run around like it’s a playground. Not one employee wants to say anything and they just allow it to happen. One lady who worked there saw the little girl lick her fingers and then pick up some sushi. Come on now. And it seems like every time we go there, kids are running wild. We love children but we choose to not go to Chucky Cheese for a reason. That said, tonight was probably our last night until management gets this situation under control. It’s a restaurant, not a play area. And NO CHILD should be getting their own food, especially since they can’t even read the sign of what they’re eating. I’m pretty sure the health department would have an issue with this. Do better.

NO MILITARY DISCOUNT CONTRARY TO WHAT IS ADVERTISED cost me $7.50 Dinner on Saturday night $24.99 adult and $12.99. Crabs were empty but got charged for them. Nice video of aquarium to watch. No fresh ice cream machine. Had to use cups. Coffee ice cream was spoiled.

Coming from way out of town, we wanted a place that offered a little something for everyone. I found China Buffet online, and while the reviews were mixed about the food and service, we decided to give it a chance—and we were not disappointed!
It’s a smaller buffet, which I think actually works in its favor because the quality of the food was excellent. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. There was truly great flavor in every dish. They even had pizza and fries for the kids, which was a nice bonus.
The price was just right, and the service was welcoming and attentive as well. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth the stop!

The service was decent until me and my 4 year old daughter got ice cream pops!! Long story short she wasn’t able to finish her ice cream and wanted to take it with us. When leaving they TRIED stopping me at the door yelling she cannot take the rest of her ice cream pop with her and was very very disrespectful about it! I will not be returning!

The food here is fantastic — honestly some of the best buffet food in the Richmond area. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-stocked. I’d come back for the food alone.
But be very careful when it comes time to pay. The server which I believe is the owner tried to charge me significantly more than the actual buffet price, and when I questioned it, she suddenly pretended not to understand. It felt intentional, not a simple mistake. That kind of behavior really ruins an otherwise great experience.
The food deserves 5 stars, but dishonest billing practices bring this place down. Always check your receipt

We just had dinner here. It’s 14,99$ for buffet, Buffet with Crab Legs was 30$. They have all kinds of seafood, meat, fruits, salads and sushi. Crab legs were delicious, definitely worth the money. I wasn’t really impressed with the sushi. Sweets were probably homemade, tasted original. Waitress was nice.
