Growing up this place used to be Really Good. But now the food here is trash. I’ve given them a few chances. Each time my food was disgusting. My last visit I ordered veggie lo mein and it was the worst. The food looked dry and gray in color. Lo mein supposed to have a deep dark soy sauce color and lots of lo mein sauce. This plate was dry. I guess like most, “all good things must come to an end”. This place had a good run, years ago. I will not be back.

Ordered gen tso chicken with plain fried rice. Rice was undercooked food arrived less than room temperature. My order tasted like more of soy sauce than anything else. My son chicken wings pretty much fell from the packaging. Picture of the chicken unfortunately my son was eating in the dark and I noticed it as I was checking on him. No chicken she look like this if cooked properly not that red.

The food was good for the most part, spring rolls were really greasy. The only thing was the heat was set super high and it was so hot I could barely stand it. I was only inside for about a minute though. Overall I’d go back again.

Takeout Only (I called ahead) this my first time trying China Bowl. I ate the sesame chicken with vegetable fried rice, and a spring roll. The chicken was 8/10 and the friend rice was 9/10. I would recommend this dish.

I pass by China Bowl all the time and finally we stopped. I had the sesame chicken with white rice. It was good. Taste fresh and was hot. I would definitely eat there again. It’s so crazy because I’m born and raised in Charlotte NC and grew up in North Charlotte. I would pick up orders for other people or either take people there, yet I had never eaten there food until today. I’m glad I did.

I asked for chicken fried rice with extra veggie. The lady on the phone clarified, “Do you want the baby corn, mushrooms and broccoli?” I told her no bc I’m allergic to mushrooms and don’t too much care for the corn……..surprise surprise! Hella mushrooms and corn n broccoli. Didn’t find that out til I got home and took a huge bite

Honestly the worst tasting Chinese food I’ve ever had. The chicken for the sweet and sour chicken wasn’t crunchy. I couldn’t even taste any sourness, just sweet. I ordered wonton soup, and the wontons tasted like they weren’t fully cooked. I ordered chicken lo mein, and I had to cover it in soy sauce just to get any flavor. There was no seasonings.

I picked up from China Bowl in Charlotte North Carolina. I moved here from New York City about a year and a half ago. I keep having an itch for Chinese food and I’m always disappointed. I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. Was it like New York City Chinatown, no, but probably one of the better Chinese meals I had here and it was takeout. I had the sesame chicken combo with fried rice and an eggroll, the pork dumplings and the boneless spareribs. The portions were generous, except for the pork dumplings. Everything was good. The sesame chicken was crunchy amd saucy and the shrimp fried rice was flavorful and not soggy. The boneless spare ribs were a little dry, but had good flavor. Would definitely order from them again.

I bought a house rice dish and it only had 3 shrimp and three pieces of chicken, which was really bad. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, and it came with way more rice than the chicken itself.
