What happened?!?! New management? I’m so disappointed. Before ordering I asked if my entire meal could be made without onions (allergy) was told yes. All the rice was filled w onion! Crab Rangoon had no filling was literally a fried wrapper. Orange chicken wasn’t it either!! Waste of $60 very disappointing!

The people who work here are kind, humble, and truly hardworking. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated with respect and warmth. The food is delicious, but what really makes the difference is the compassion and care they show toward their customers.

The young woman at the front desk made me feel genuinely welcome. I left with a smile and a sense of appreciation that you don’t find everywhere. This is a place where you feel comfortable, listened to, and valued as a person.

I will definitely be coming back and continuing to support this business. It’s clear they care deeply about their customers and the way they treat people—with kindness, respect, and heart.

The service is very good and the food is delicious. The Chicken is amazing. We ordered Sweet Chicken and Sesame Chicken, and everything was really tasty.

The service is excellent. The girl who helps customers is very kind and welcoming. If you have any issue, she will help you and solve it right away — she doesn’t like to cause problems, she prefers to fix them.

Sometimes she even gives a small courtesy, like a soda, as a thank you. If you ever have any concern, you can talk to her directly and she will take care of it. Don’t hesitate to communicate with her, she really tries to make customers happy! Love it here definitely recommend!!

My mother and I used to eat here for years since moving to the Clem in 2015, between 2024 to now, the quality of service and food has sadly diminished from this restaurant. Not saying it won’t ever be good again. But my experience there about a month ago was enough to turn me off to ever coming back and spending almost $40 on two meals. Along with the long wait time after another customer was inside complaining to the employees about the food. The food used to taste like it was made from love from a family who cared. Now it seems lack luster and not worth the time or the money. I hope they make a comeback.

We have been going to this restaurant for a long time. It was obvious when we got there that there were new owners. They were very polite, but it was obvious that they had no idea how to make Chinese food. They took our order. Made us wait like 30 minutes. Then they told us that they were out of this and that they were out of this. They were out of gravy. They were out of shrimp. So we only got one gravy to go with our two dinners. The gravy was sweet and nasty I don’t even know how they made it or what was in it. But you could not eat it. It costs us around $37 for the two meals and it was the worst Chinese food that we ever tasted. And they ran out of egg rolls. We had to take spring rolls. If you’re not Chinese you should not be making Chinese food. And like I said they were very nice and polite but they did not have a clue of what they were doing. So do yourself a favor and avoid that restaurant.

STAY AWAY from China 1 on Cass in Mount Clemens. My family has been going there faithfully since we purchased our house almost 9 years ago

We always do Chinese for Christmas (over 30 years)

Well, the owners of China 1 opened a new location on Oak Park and left untrained staff on one of their busiest days of the year.

I spent 140.00, and it was NOT edible. We ate cake and pie for dinner.

I called today just as an FYI to the owners. They were in Oak Park and would not call me ( too busy)

I wasn’t looking for money back. An apology would have been great. I even took homemade treats when I picked the food up. I knew it was a big order.

All I got was excuses. A cook didn’t show up, we had to go to Meijer to buy your tofu. We opened just for you (because it was ordered in advance)

So now I want to send a message to the owners of China 1. Don’t forget the people/town that supported you when you were small. Now that you have Oak Park, our business doesn’t matter

I will never patronize your business again

Amazing, they came back from a bad streak with the cook they had. The new owner is absolutely amazing. Th food was on point and the service was so friendly. I do see a lot of rude people leaving bad reviews because it’s not Chinese owned anymore and that’s not cool. Everyone come and show some love and support for this long time Mount Clemens business.

Ok, this is kind of weird. So i got the honey chicken and the chicken was loaded. Id say close to two pounds worth of chicken and sauce. But the chicken was very overcooked and NOT fresh. The rice was basic white rice. And the egg roll, I have no clue what was inside it. I usually get the egg rolls with the bean sprout, but this was something fishy or doughy, I have no clue. Im looking for a good chinese place, and this just wasnt it. I still want to know what was inside that egg roll. I didnt actually try it since the smell and texture was way off
