I was pleasantly surprised on the quality of the food. Fresh carrots, celery, onions and Chinese vegetables. No frozen peas and carrots which is good. The Moo Goo Gai Pan had the fresh veggies listed above plus a decent amount of chicken breast in a mild sauce. The overall flavor was very good for this dish. Others who had the lo mein were also satisfied with their food. Egg rolls and spring rolls were good as well. Egg drop soup was okay. It needed something but not sure what.
Being Christmas evening the place was packed with people waiting for their orders. Nothing else open except Chinese restaurants. I had to wait an extra 20 minutes for my large order but it turned out to be worth the wait.
If eating there don’t expect much in the way of ambiance, although they did have an interesting large picture of the Great wall of China. They have canned sodas and water.
I will order from here again, along with my all time favorite, The Oriental House

We eat a lot of Chinese food. I’ll be comparing this place to some others. It was our first time eating here today, 4/2/24. We did carry out. 1st, The Spring Rolls, simply put – they were absolutely horrible. 2nd, The Chicken Chow Mein – nice julienne sliced vegetables, mostly onions and celery, a decent sauce – was a 3 out of 5, and there was less than a tablespoon of chicken in the entire dish. 3rd, The Scallops & Broccoli, in garlic sauce was tasty, way too much of the sauce, maybe 6 scallops, penny size. The Won Ton soup was decent, better than average. The Hot & Sour soup was just okay. The quality of the food was at best a 2.5… The atmosphere is at best a 1. don’t know how the fish in the fish tank are still living. anybody that gives atmosphere more than a one is out of touch or must live in a dumpster. We tried eating in St. Matthews thinking we would get a better quality considering the image the city wants to present. We will be trying Chinese food off Hubbard’s Lane in the Kroger center this next week. So far, our favorite in this area is Oriental Cafe in Hikes Point… We live in the middle of all three and wanted to give the three of them a try and comparison. Three hours later my son and I have both spent excessive time in the bathroom… for what that’s worth…

This place held my order from door dash hostage for over an hour on Christmas and then turned my driver away. Then cancelled my order and closed the restaurant leaving me to figure out dinner after waiting for two hours till all the other places were closed.
