This place was delicious!!!! When we stopped in there were only two other people in there, so seating was not a problem. We walked in, were handed a menu, and ordered right at the counter. We were thinking we were getting soup dumplings, but ended up with pot stickers that were great. We had chicken fried rice that was enough for four, and the best spring rolls I think I have ever had. Everything was fresh made, hot and tasty. You get chopsticks, and the plate your dish comes on, and tiny little napkins- but we were sharing everything so the plating didn’t matter to us. The gentleman that took our order and cooked our food was a happy guy, very sweet and nice. We would come back for more.

Found this gem on Google, can’t believe they have jianbing guozi ( a Chinese style savory crepe) , my absolute favorite , and they do such a great job making it so good, like what I had in China!
We ordered a few other dishes, everything came out amazing and the owners are just the kindest!!

Amazing place with great food. Authentic Chinese food! Dumplings are homemade and delicious. One of our favorite spots in Madison! Owners were friendly and recommended some great dishes!

Phenomenal food and wonderful customer service! I’ve been twice now, and both times were excellent. We plan to go back regularly. The food is fresh and delicious.
The owners are really friendly. He will tell you what is popular and explain dishes if you have questions. We laughed the last time we went because the owner said “too much” after we ordered a bunch of dishes. We like ordering a bunch of dishes to try and then take leftovers home.
They had a really good tea and when I asked to take a picture of the packaging to see if I can find something similar, he put some loose leaf tea in a bag for us to take home.
This is the type of restaurant you want to support.

We had a really tasty meal at Chin Up Restaurant! We ordered the braised beef noodle soup and shrimp chow mein (not pictured because we devoured it right away).
I wasn’t expecting it to be a great meal considering the ambiance – but I was completely corrected. The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded all expectations. We’ll definitely be back!

Came here from Texas cuz AA cancelled my flight and I had searched “best Chinese food” and I stumbled on to a gem!! Huge portion sizes and honestly really authentic food. Big shout out to the mom and pop that’s really keeping the traditional Chinese take out hunger alive!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! I live in Chicago, where there’s no shortage of amazing restaurants, and Chin Up would easily rank in the top 1%. Their Beef Noodle Soup and pork dumplings are among the best I’ve ever had—absolutely outstanding!

Great food portion for the price, good authentic Chinese food. Owner is very friendly, and tells us what’s good at the restaurant, make us feel welcoming. Recommend the homemade buns and soybean milk taste great.

Visiting from Colorado and had a craving for some Asian brothy dish and this place didn’t disappoint.
Had the braised beef noodle soup, great flavor! Ordered the pork cabbage dumplings, such good proportions and such incredible flavor!
The owner is so nice and positive! Great vibes all around.
Almost went to another place down the street until I saw chin up and it’s great reviews, and so happy I came here. It was fairly dead, not sure if it’s because it’s between Christmas and new year, but Madison, don’t sleep on this spot! It’s fire!

Discovered this place today and was very excited to try it out after looking over the menu. There’s a ton of authentic Chinese street food options at very affordable prices, and we ordered a variety to sample. Portions were large, flavors were prominent, and everything was served up quickly. They also offered complimentary soup which was a bonus. There were six of us and we all walked away absolutely stuffed and very content.
The folks working there, which I assume to be the owners, were also very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The restaurant itself gave off a cozy and inviting vibe which was nice. Overall, it’s awesome to have a place that offers some very unique food options that you just really can’t find anywhere else in Madison. We’ll definitely be back!
