We visited Chimney Rock Inn in Flemington and wanted to share both the highlights and the areas that could use some attention.
First, the positive:
Our waitress, Meredith, was absolutely wonderful. She mentioned she was new and still in training, but you would never know it. She was attentive, warm, and genuinely sociable—not only with our table but with the guests around us as well. She made people feel welcomed, valued, and taken care of. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor were the standout of our visit.
Unfortunately, the food did not match the same standard.
I ordered the house-smoked beef brisket, and it fell short of expectations. The texture and flavor were closer to a pot roast than a true brisket, and it was extremely dry, which made it difficult to enjoy.
My husband ordered the chipotle chicken burrito. While the overall flavor wasn’t bad, the filling was unbalanced—very little chicken and an overload of beans and rice. He felt the portion composition didn’t align with what you’d typically expect from a burrito described as “chipotle chicken.”
Overall:
We truly appreciated the service—Meredith was a bright spot and did a fantastic job. However, the food quality unfortunately didn’t live up to the same level. We hope the kitchen experience improves, because the service has the potential to make this location a great spot.

This satellite of the Bound Brook original is on its second location in Flemington and the space is a substantial upgrade. Parking lot is spacious as is the interior. In addition to a spacious bar, there are two dining rooms. Some of the decor tastefully honors local heritage (for example the Flemington Speedway – now a Lowes and Walmart). Stopped by for a late lunch on a Sunday and had a beer, pierogies and the Founder’s pizza. Everything was tasty! The pierogies are nicely complemented with caramelized onions and the pizza had thin crust, cracker crisp (but not burned) on the edges with fresh mozzarella & julienned basil. There sauce has a nice garlic note to it.

Me and few people got take out from here. The food is very good i will say. We started off with 2 appetizers being the pierogies, which were really tasty with the buttery sweetness and the onions were nicely cooked. We also got an order of the Potato Pancakes from the Oktoberfest menu. They were decent. Couldn’t say much more about them honestly. The crispiness was a good textural feeling though. As for the entrees. I got the Bratwurst Sandwich, which was cooked and seasoned nicely, and I already enjoyed their onions with the app, it was a good addition to the sandwich. I also got the Smoked Bbq Platter. the ribs were amazing, the brisket was tender and tasty and the sweet potatoes were cooked beautifully. Lastly I got the Bee Hive Cream Pie. Which was ok. Nothing all too special to this. Overall I would recommend this place, they do have a lot of options across the board and the food is good.

I will recommend this place again and again. Their Epic Pizza is amazing and they have a deal on Mondays that you can’t beat! The pizzas are so big, two pies fed 10 adults and 4 children. The atmosphere was so comfortable for a huge table for my family and the service was amazing

This place is great! It’s very large with multiple dining areas. We got the garlic pretzel knots for an appetizer, the homemade crispy chicken sandwich, & the chipotle guacamole burger. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was great, but what outshined everything was or waitress, Cecelia. She was very helpful in recommending things on the menu for us since it was our first time there. She also checked on us often & refilled drinks without having to be asked. We will definitely return & will definitely ask for Cecelia!!

Excellent service, it was nice and fast despite how busy they were. The food was drool worthy and delectable! Tried one of their amazing pizzas, mozzarella and Mac and cheese! The pictures do not do the taste justice, highly recommend and I will be a repeat customer! Atmosphere is cute sporty vibes, dim lighting.

Cozy, cute restaurant! Loved the food. The pizza had a great flavor with a nice thin crust. It was a little floppy in terms of doughs integrity, but overall, delicious flavor! Our waitress Sam (I believe) was so sweet & very attentive! Loved this place so much I ended up booking my baby shower here in June.

This is a nice restaurant with an awesome atmosphere. They have a ton of food and drink options. Friendly employees. Fast service. Clean. Tons of tables and lots of space at the bar too. Tons of parking and all free parking.
I had the burger and fries. The egg wash glossy bun was yummy and tasty. The burger itself was delicious. The fries were good but not crispy. I didn’t mind that they weren’t crispy since they tasted good.
The price for a plain burger and fries is a bit on the high side at $15 plus tax. Push that price down to $10 and you would have a great deal balance between tastiness and value.

This is rare that I give 5 stars all across the board, but in this case well deserved.
-Waitstaff, clean friendly and very well versed..
-The atmosphere laid back but controlled orderly bustle (operations)
-American cuisine of course with a variety of choices, some “exotic” choices es as well, and you’re guaranteed to find something to your liking that’s prepared in the same manner. Family and work friendly, I highly recommend this great eatery to anyone looking to be treated as you would expect and given an excellent culinary experience you’ll certainly enjoy…
If the wait staff by chance should come by this review just remember the guy in the gold shirt on August 30th, and the reference that was made as to whom our waiter reminded me of! Great service guys!!
