Social Profile:

We would call ourselves more of a bar who serves great food than a restaurant with a bar! This isn’t just another Mexican Restaurant with beans and rice. Chimichanga Llama is a fun and eclectic Latin-inspired Cantina with tastes and flavors from all over Central and South America. Garage doors provide an open air feel inside the Cantina. Ocean views and breezes from our wrap around outside deck and patio make for el fresco dining and drinking perfection. We offer live entertainment, two bars serving signature cocktails and colorful plates of fresh, delicious food.

Friendly fast service. Food and drinks were outstanding. Very comfortable place on the street across from the beach. Perfect place for families or adults.

I always get the buffalo chicken tacos on the “fluffy shell” it is the right amount of spicyness, the chicken is to die for good, and the shell just completes its deliciousness. I love this place, the bartender River is my favorite he is always friendly and makes great drinks. The restaurant is mostly open windows and large doors with a nice bar, patio seating, and rail seating. It’s right across from the beach and pier so it’s so easy to get a good meal and go to the beach afterwards.

The host was kind enough to quickly clear a table outside since it was amazing weather for it. Tyler was an amazing server! The food was phenomenal and the vibes outside were on point for the beach! Tyler was super helpful with the menu and recommendations and even offered us churros for our anniversary!

Great food and great service. I was with a huge loud party and they did a great job at taking care of all of us. I got the chicken tinga nachos and they were awesome. All 18 people enjoyed their meals.

I chose this place because I saw it had vegetarian options. The Veggie Chimichanga & fries were delicious! I got a frozen strawberry margarita too which was good. Our waiter was super nice and attentive. There was also live music that night (reggae man with guitar & trumpet.) And the patio is pet friendly.
Would go back, although I thought it was a just little pricey (as with just about everywhere else here)

Refreshing food on a hot day! Great chicken and rice bowls for my dairy- free child. Delicious beef chimichangas with fried plantains in honey! Shrimp tacos and Barbacoa birria enchilada hit the spot! Server was so kind getting the kids their requested virgin Pina coladas! Great location right behind the Surfside Fishing pier which is perfect for families! Public restrooms easily accessible with a local ice cream shop! Perfect location to satisfy all of your family’s needs!

Man, was I looking forward to this spot after a long beach day! Right on the strip, it looked like the perfect Mexican delight. Unfortunately, it turned out to be such a tourist trap. The food was unbearable, instant stomach aches. As someone who’s Spanish, I felt offended that they would even label this a Spanish restaurant.

I truly hate leaving bad reviews (you can check my track record), but this experience was rough. We spent close to $80, tipped generously over 20% as always, yet ended up having to throw all our food away. Definitely not worth it.

When they first opened this place was great. Since then it has consistently gone downhill…
Stopped in the other day for lunch and was greeted by the entire staff sitting around on their phones even though there were customers in the restaurant. Eventually someone said sit anywhere. He ended up being our server. Asked how many people we had…7.. gave us 4 menus. No drink menus. Took our drink order.. forgot 2 of them so we just never got those sprites.. I guess he decided we needed water instead..

The bar drinks took entirely too long considering we only ordered a margaritas, watermelon lemonade thing, and a mojito. That mojito was truly sooo awful. Im certain they forgot to add simple syrup.

We then ordered some starters. No plates, napkins, or silverware were brought out until 15 minutes later when our server finally emerged out of the kitchen with a side of fries we had ordered. Skimpy portions.

When he took our order I noticed he couldn’t have even been bothered enough to take his ear buds out while waiting on us. Sad excuse of a waiter. And… truly a sad excuse for management for allowing such poor service to be given in their restaurant.

I would love to say its because the boss was away and the mice will play or something like that but the owner was sitting (loudly) right behind us and I saw 3 managers come and go multiple times.

When our food comes out it was sloppily plated. Some of it looked like actual baby food.. there was also 2 separate chicken bones in my chimichanga…. our waiter never checked back so I could bring it to attention. The only time seeing him after getting our food was when he dropped our check off..

You should expect your employees to do better and push them to be better. Hold them to a certain standard or get rid of them. If you cant do that? Expect to lose a lot of customers based off poor service and chicken bones alone…

Getting our oil changed in the area looked for a new Mexican restaurant trying to find a good margarita. The margarita was just okay. They did have a local discount so that was a plus.

We wandered in one of the nights we were staying nearby. The place looked popping and good. We got sat outside near the band that was playing. Our server was also the host, which resulted in some delays and the seeming lack of attention. It was slightly annoying to be mid sentence then have the person you are speaking to turn away and walk off. Anyways, we were very surprised to not get complimentary chips and salsa to munch on while we wait. We ordered chips and queso to minch on instead. Then we ordered our food. I asked to have corn added to mine and got my request shrugged off. Whatever. Food arrives. Looks presentable. We open up and start eating..questioned where was the meat we paid for? If we wanted a food item with primarily beans and rice, we would have ordered that. Overall, loved the band, chips with queso, and drinks. Other than that, unimpressed and save your money.
