i found out about Chiloso for the first time on tiktok and had no idea one was right here by my mother’s house!
i was a little overwhelmed by the menu, but went ahead and followed the blueprint of what i saw on tiktok and man oh man! this bowl did NOT disappoint. the salmon is an extra $3 but so worth it.
the staff here are super friendly and patient. plus they never fail to offer an extra bag of complementary chips! chipotle could neverrrr! chiloso has officially stolen my heart! this is officially my feel-good lunch treat to myself.
if you find yourself on this strip of restaurants in forney… just go ahead and stop at chiloso! you won’t be disappointed

I am done with this place! They are super disgusting!! I keep finding hair in my food! At least twice while getting a bowl at the restaurant, I have caught a piece of hair in the actual food before they served it in my bowl! They just said, “Oops! Oh no! My bad!” I have then went home and found hair 3 times now! I never wanted to make a big deal, but at this point I feel like I am eating their hair with my food! I called today after finding a long piece of red looking hair in my food, the manager just said, “OH! I’ll let the general manager know and what steps he wants to take.” This is ridiculous and outrageous!! I will never eat here ever again! This is beyond disgusting and ridiculous! I had loved the food so much, I made excuses. I told myself the first 2 or 3 times were an accident and rare occurrences. Now, this is the 4th or 5th time! I am done!!

Short review: Go to Chipotle or literally anywhere else that serves basic Mexican food and save your money and time.
The deets: our 2nd visit in within 6~8 months and it was even worse than the first time. Food is just average and severely overpriced for what you get (e.g, $8 for a shrimp taco with a side of cold rice). Service is consistently slow. 4 tacos took 15+mins (we were the only ones in there) Management doesn’t know their own menu and when they shorted us 3 of our 4 sides, she got an attitude and argued with us when we asked for them. Realizing she wasn’t going to win the argument, she grudgingly gave us ONE more side (we were still short 2 sides). Thanks, but no thanks. Will not be returning.

I went at 2pm on Friday there was 0 wait to order and the order came out in about 5 minutes. The place was clean, the employees were friendly and the food was great. I got my order to go and they put silverware and napkins in the bag and packaged it perfect. They have happy hour everyday from 2pm-6pm that includes $2 off beer and bar drinks. Overall it was a super cute spot and would be perfect for a lunch date! Side note get the white sauce it’s delicious.

We were there on a Monday and ended up getting a Monday special called the boom boom chicken enchiladas. They were amazing. The guacamole seasoned the chips were fresh. The quesadillas rice and beans were perfect for my daughter. She loved them. Chiloso is hands-down one of my favorite spots for fresh, flavorful Mexican cuisine. I always go for the “Make Your Own Bowl” — it’s the perfect mix of customization and bold flavor. The ingredients are always fresh, and the variety of hot and cold toppings lets you craft a bowl exactly how you like it. And don’t even get me started on the salsas — each one is a chef’s kiss! My favorite is ENOJADA.
The avocado plate is another go-to for me. I love that you can top it with your choice of meat and build it out however you like. Everything I’ve tried here is packed with flavor and leaves me wanting to come back the next day.

We recently ordered tacos with rice and beans and went to pick up the order, drove home and we had no rice and beans! If this was the first time this happened, it wouldn’t be an issue but this is the 3rd or 4th time we’ve had issues at this restaurant!
I called and spoke to Elizabeth who I believe is a manager and she was uninterested, lacked empathy and didn’t apologize. We finally just asked for a refund and she happily said she would give it and got off the phone.
Won’t be going here ever again. Customer service goes a long way. If you work at a restaurant at least act like you care!

I’m a regular here and I came in for a customized bowl and I asked for guacamole. instead of the worker telling me that she was out of guacamole. She charged me for a full scoop and only gave me a small half a teaspoon of guacamole.. Try to charge me five dollars for me to put the case on aside for my husband’s bowl and duck her hand in the cheese when I told her I had an allergy request. Let me start by saying I have been to this location countless times and the food has always been great. I thought it would become my “Cheers” but the last two times I have been there, the service has been sub par with today being the straw that broke the camel’s back. No greeting at all! Sat at the bar for 10 minutes with every single person working there seeing me and my daughter and yet no one came to assist us, no one went to get whomever may be tasked with working the bar…no one said “no one is here working the bar yet” NOTHING! There’s a middle aged Caucasian woman and a young African-American woman that work there that provide amazing service and it is because of them that we have come back so many times but I am absolutely furious at the lack of acknowledgement today. Dilla’s is right there by them too so maybe I’ll just make that my go to spot. No drinks there but I have drinks at home!

Please save your money and time by skipping this place. I’m not really sure how they stay in business except that some people will spend their money on anything. This company should be embarrassed about their business model because customer satisfaction is not a priority at all, apparently. I ordered two bacon and egg breakfast tacos for $11.26. These are “street tacos” and they both fit in the palm of my 12 year olds hand at the same time; they put less than half of a greasy egg and a withered strip of bacon in there, fold them in half and call it a day.
The actual customer service is also non-existent here. When I asked to check them and expressed my disappointment, I was just met with a blank stare, no offer to remake them or anything else. Needless to say, my daughter ate these and I wound up going somewhere else to spend another $10 to get her something that would hold her over until lunch time.
I don’t care if this is the last restaurant open when I’m hungry, I’ll eat at a gas station before I spend another penny here and I suggest everyone else do the same.
