It’s just incredible how in one of the toughest businesses made more difficult by seasonality and staffing challenges that this upscale but casual byob restaurant maintains such high level consistency. A bustling, almost celebratory atmosphere last night set the stage for celebrity sitings and an incredible meal for our party of 6–we shared nearly every appetizer, melt in your mouth pork chops, the best roast chicken ever, perfectly prepared halibut and a simple but perfect Tavern burger that everyone wanted a bite of! The salads and side vegetable dishes from Island farms were absolutely delicious and then…The desserts! Whoa. As every year, we can’t wait to go back.

What a way to end the day with love and kindness and great food. Perfect service and a beautiful vibe. BYOB and creative alcohol free cocktails. Chilmark’s best summer hangout. ❤️

A gorgeous restaurant with delicious food. The mussels came in a broth similar to the broth of clam chowder, the best I’ve ever had. Halibut fish and chips was made to perfection. BYOB, but I like that they have three different house wines for anyone who forgets their libations.

Overpriced for mediocre food. extra fees added: BYOB charges 15$ for “wine service” and gratuity is automatically added for kitchen staff. The kitchen staff’s role was to circle the floor and frequently request to take your plate before you even had your second bite/ effective in pushing a quick turnover in tables. There are so many wonderful restaurants in MV, this place is not worth it.

Had a great experience here. The atmosphere was really casual, but nice; the service was 5 stars; the menu was really inventive. Four stars overall because, even though the food was very unique, it didn’t deliver as much flavor as I would have liked. The pasta dish pictured here was good, but not great; the scallops were good, but again, not a great overall dish (although they were cooked nicely).

Where do I start. A relative thought this place was good for our family and friends to go to while on vacation in Martha’s Vineyard June 2023 . We waited 45 mins for our food(2 tables about 13 of us) It was a BYOB type place but who knew they charged 2.50 per glass for ice. My chicken was average. Not worth what i spent. Had to have something I didn’t order taken off my bill. Had better chicken from Sams Club where i live. A person at my table ordered the ice but it was put on my bill so the waiter didn’t bill correctly twice. They allowed us to be billed 5 different checks I believe. Any restaurant who has a large party should bring your food as its cooked. 45 mins for salad is ridiculous. Any restaurant that charges you for a cancelation of your party would never get my service. I have never appreciated any restaurant telling me what to tip, especially if service is not worthy. Who charges 5% kitchen appreciation after charging 25% gratuity for a large party? This was the worst part of my vacation. I would not step foot in this place again. My mother’s chicken wings were a terrible attempt to serve jerk wings.

A pleasant surprise! We hadn’t dined here before but it came recommended so made the drive from Tisbury. One could tell by the clientele that it was no secret, and the food lived up to the reputation.
