Natalie was our server. I’d give her 10 stars if I could. She was phenomenal! Our glasses never went dry and she was Johnny on the spot with anything we needed. Between the four of us, we ordered a Rueben, a rack of ribs, a Patty Melt, and an ultimate burger with the green chiles. The food was very good. Their fries are spectacular. The sweet potato fried were okay. My husband liked his cole slaw and his bbq beans. The atmosphere was cozy and old time western. We really enjoyed our time there.

We stopped on our drive home from Prescott. Best decision we made. Berlin was our server she was efficient, personal and knowledgeable great service and food. I had burnt ends and baked beans absolutely delicious! We also had Potatoe skins and a Huge Sandwich 5⭐️’s. This will now be a regular stop for food on our way home when we travel this route from now on.

The waitress recommended the “I want it all” to share between two people since it came with half a slab of ribs, brisket and a quarter or half a chicken plus two sides. The photo was on the menu, and it looked decent. We asked if the $38 platter had more meat than the $25 platter with only two meats and was told “yes”. When the plate arrived it had a literal chicken breast on it instead of half a chicken. We didn’t complain or ask for a discount, but we were disappointed. The brisket and ribs were good. They must have ran out of chicken but instead of telling us, replaced it with a chicken breast which was dry. For $44 after tax, we should get what we ordered, because we were looking for enough meat for two people.
UPDATE: The manager reached out to me and offered a $50 gift card to make it right. We ordered the same item and the dish came as advertised and everything was delicious. We appreciate the establishment standing behind their service.

Went there for the wife’s birthday. It was not extremely busy. The food was delicious and the servings were definitely worth the price. They even have great desserts to sing Happy Birthday too. And the waitress was just phenomenal. Always attentive and checking in on you making sure you had drinks that were full and if you had any questions or needs she was readily available. And you definitely got to visit the gift shop that’s on the property as well. A bunch of great items to purchase. Well worth the visit

We were returning from a trip to Sedona when we started to get hungry. My mom noticed this place had the best reviews, so we decided to stop by even though it was slightly off the freeway. Turns out, we made the right decision! We ordered the corn bread and the I Want It All BBQ. All fantastic- I especially loved the cornbread. Also, the customer service was amazing. The lady there was very attentive and friendly. I just wish this place was closer to where I live!

Turns out that Black Canyon City has excellent food at both exits. Cold Water (exit 244) has a hidden gem I will be coming back to – “Chilleen’s on 17”.

Billed as a BBQ and bar, they are clearly much more than that. Bunch of great looking sandwiches and salads and the promised BBQ writ large – I enjoyed all of the samples I got for the asking.

The ‘hidden gem’ part is… Everything here is homemade, in the kitchen, fresh every day. Rubs, BBQ sauce, marinade, dressings, tarter and cocktail sauces… All made here. No “5 gallon buckets of cole slaw #4” from a restaurant supply house.

And it shows. I asked for a sample and got BBQ sauce and ranch and thousand island dressing with some fries for dipping. All were fabulous. Recommended.

Big bar, decent sized restaurant, and a room for meetings and weddings, etc. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!

Let me tell you….being an OTR Trucker, I eat at many different locations around the U.S. I have to give them kudos tonight, for a meal prepared so well, that salt and pepper was not needed, nor did I wish to add it. Kudos to the Chef and kudos to the waitresses and staff, who made this a beautiful experience the first time. I will stop, any time, that my schedule will allow it.

We had dinner at Chilleen’s on 17 for Valentine’s Day and overall had a great experience. We made a 6:00 pm reservation online and were seated quickly at our reserved table upon arrival, which was much appreciated on such a busy holiday.
Our server, Nikki (Nicole), was very friendly and attentive and upfront right away, letting us know the kitchen was running behind and that food would take some time. We really appreciated the transparency and totally understood given it was Valentine’s Day. It did take about an hour for our food to come out, which we were expecting, though we did notice some other guests seemed frustrated by the wait.
When our meals arrived, everything was absolutely worth it. The steaks were cooked perfectly, everything tasted great, and our alcoholic beverages were on point.
We love Chilleen’s and will definitely continue coming back. We’re looking forward to seeing how cooking times improve during future busy holidays, but overall it was a solid Valentine’s Day dinner with great service and delicious food.

We found ourselves hungry on the way to Flagstaff and decided to try somewhere new and Chilleen’s did not disappoint! My wife and I shared a BBQ plate and cornbread. The beef ribs were tender and the chicken was moist. Delicious!
