I was missing 1 of the main items in my steakhouse combo that was meant for someone that doesn’t want ribs.
I called and talked to 2 very polite FOH members. Waited about 10 minutes and was connected to a manager. That Manager not only made me feel like I did something wrong, just because I don’t want to drive back for the forgotten item on a plate I paid $50 for that is usually $30.
But, she made sure she to let me know she would offer credit for my missing crispers only.
Idk if that meant to my card or my chilis app. (Because she didn’t even try to specify)
But, I don’t care about the few dollars.
I read some reviews before commenting and I agree with Rob.
& as a fellow RGM in town I feel the mis-management at this establishment should be acknowledged.
& if the Manager on Duty can’t even secure guest satisfaction & quality.
How are they even be able to train the crew?
something affordable with a nice atmosphere. The service was excellent everyone was friendly and welcoming, and our server Diego went above and beyond even though we only ordered appetizers. The place had a good vibe and overall felt like a great experience for the price.
I went to the to-go station in the back and waited about 10 minutes with no acknowledgment. I could see several employees in the back lounging around and eating, and a few even made eye contact with me, including the bartender, but no one came to help.
Thinking maybe I was in the wrong spot, I went to the front, where I waited even longer, only to be told that I actually could order in the back. After about 25 minutes of walking around trying to get someone’s attention, I finally told an employee who was cleaning, and he went to the back to find someone to take my order.
I ordered a Triple Dipper and a salad with the chicken on the side. The girl taking my order said “of course.” We can do that let me be right back because I don’t know if the salad is the one with the cc or without but I told her without the cc because I have ordered there so often I know. So boom order was in finally so I waited in my car for about 10 minutes, then came back inside to find two bags just sitting there getting cold after waiting probably another 10-15 mins A waitress asked if I had been helped; when I said no, she checked the bags but one didn’t have the name on it so she went in the back to track down the girl and they were mine. The girl who took my order handed them to me like nothing was wrong. When I checked The chicken was mixed into the salad… normally I would have just said whatever and gone home but I already had a LONG day and they had be waiting forever already so when I mentioned it to the waitress I asked her I asked for the chicken on the aside because the salad gets soggy you even acknowledged it and she said, “no I don’t remember then just looked and me and said…..do you want me to change it?” I just wanted my meal that I ordered correctly so I said yes of course.
By then it was around 9:30 ish PM, and it was obvious the staff was more focused on cleaning up so they could go home than taking care of customers. I had spent $40 including a tip, but the service was so poor that I asked if I could have the tip back. The bartender looked at me like I was the problem and acted annoyed instead of helping. I asked to speak with the manager, and thankfully he was amazing — professional, understanding, and clearly someone who cares about the restaurant.
He offered me a free dessert, but I didn’t want to wait any longer. Instead, he gave me a lemonade and took my information so someone from corporate could reach out with coupons or free meals. He handled the situation very well, but the rest of the experience was unacceptable.
This is the only Chili’s on the south side, and I come often, but the staff really needs training on prompt service, basic courtesy, and acknowledging customers. I’ll be back because it’s the only location near me, but this visit left me extremely disappointed
However, tonight there was an extremely loud and obnoxious drunk women with her boyfriend at the bar. They made it very hard to relax and enjoy your meal and drinks. I didn’nt say anything because I just didnt want to get into a confrontation with anyone. The customer at the other end of the bar had a different idea and start telling the obnoxious women to keep it down.
Then the obnoxious boyfriend got involved, that is where I felt I needed to say something as well. The boyfriend begin to threaten me and told me to step outside. I then asked the waitress to give me my bill so i could leave and she did so. The guy at the bar follows me outside threatening me and telling me he was going to hurt me. I turned around to him and said good luck, go for it. Then right behind him came out the manager of Chili’s telling me and the person causing the issues that if we didn’t leave now he was going to have us both arrested.
Thereby, I then told the manager that he had no idea what was going on and he could be assured I would never go back to that specific Chili’s ever.
The one star rating is for the pathetic managment at this specific
Chili’s. Anyway……I will never visit that Chilil again!
