The service from the staff is still top tier but you can see it effects them too.
I mean, a salad isn’t expensive so when you order it and it’s insanely tiny but you actually get more dressing for it than actual salad you should notice the issue.
The music they play is now a little bit too loud and it makes it a little hard to hear.
Overall, they’ve lost some “magic” they used to give me in every visit but this customer went home a bit disappointed.
Now for the one star. I have never had this experience at Chili’s in the years I’ve came here. This specific location is one I call home. And honestly, with how me and my wife was treated, I think we will either do take out or go to another location .
We started with drinks and got them promptly. We then ordered our appetizers, the Triple Dippers! We say what we want thinking that’s all we needed to do. We then give our orders, which was just the 2 different pasta dishes. I then realized that she never gave us a choice for the sauces for the dippers. I took that as my fault as well as it being Valentines Day, so we settled with whatever she brought out.
Now here is when all the issues started up. We didn’t want to play the games we would have to pay for, so we pulled our phone out and started playing a 2 player game. It’s a booth area, easily could fit 4 people, maybe 2 adults and 3-4 kids. We were all the way to the wall. She comes up with the appetizers and without warning, decided to set a appetizer platter onto our phone. Whole space open. Fully reached over our drinks to put it on our phone. I got it before it touched it and she laughed and walked off. She then came back with 2 small plates and put them on the table a bit aggressively.
Then. Out comes the food. Instead of waiting for us to move our appetizers, she proceeds to use our plates to move the plate we were eating from. So already? No tip. Cause seriously?
Lastly. The glances to us from her behind our backs were unacceptable and honestly? Not at all what service workers should be doing and still expect to be tipped.
So, Andrea. That is why you don’t have a tip tonight from us. If we knew it would go to the cooks, I would’ve. But I’ve had waiters and waitresses take the tip either way.
I do not expect money back. I do not expect special treatment. What I expect is the owner of the store or the person running the store to understand what customer service actually is and see that the looks, the attitude and the behavior of your staff are not up to standards with even the Harrisville location. I’d expect on Valentine’s Day for even someone in store to be answering phones and knowing the wait as well.
To recap:
Food? Best I’ve gotten from a Chilis location!
Service? Horrible.
Atmosphere? The lack of professionalism from your employees.
The woman at the counter was in straight up boss mode, answering calls and taking names, making sure everyone got their order like only a top tier customer service SURGEON could. We love this location and highly recommend it.
Thanks for covering for dinner tonight Chili’s Team! You’re killing it!
Though I was aware the shop was closed and planned on going back in the morning to have the tire looked at, I was blown away at the dedication these two had to helping solve my problem.
What these amazing men did goes far and above customer service and demonstrates humanity at its finest.
They were kind, helpful, attentive and amazing. I’m still in awe at what they did.
Though I didn’t get the names of everyone working that night, they too deserve some recognition for stepping up and allowing 2 people to help. It’s a big deal.
Because of my ordeal, I had to heat up my food and eat it 1.5 hours later, but it was still tasty.
Chili’s, I commend you for hiring such wonderful, outstanding people to be in your team. I hope they get all the recognition they deserve!
The presidente margarita is the best. Great size, great flavor, at a great price. Just got a strawberry limoncello margarita at olive garden. Half the size, cost twice as much, not nearly as good.
Love the fajitas. Miss the guacamole on them though. Couldn’t care less for the beans they now come with.
The enchilada soup, and the salsa are some of my all time favorite comfort foods. Really wish they had a catering to go sized option like how you can get a gallon of soup at olive garden. You can get to go soup/salsa, but the “bottomless chips and salsa” to go version is 1 half filled salsa. a 2nd, half filled also if you ask for extra, any more than that and they charge you for it. The soup is a bowl for i think $8. You want a 1-gallon bucket it’d be like x20 bowls, so like $160…. sheesh. We love our leftovers!
Definitely pays to dine in with endless refill options, that do not transfer for carry out.
