When I sat down, there was something crusty on my chair, but our waitress, Elvia, went above and beyond—she not only washed it off but also dried it so my clothes wouldn’t get wet. Excellent service on her part! She also mentioned that the new cheese was a different kind, specifically vegetarian, good job Chili’s, it was really good.
The margarita took quite a while to arrive, which was a little frustrating since we had one at lunch just so we could finish it before our 2.5 hour drive. Not sure what the holdup was there. Needed 45 minutes after finishing them so we could drive home.
My bill ended up being higher than expected because the “Three Trio Meal Deal” doesn’t clearly show the price. If I were in Chili’s corporate office, I’d make that more transparent—it was about $20 more than anticipated. Which was one-third of the bill.
That said, the food was delicious and the lava cake was absolutely to die for!
All in all, great food and service, with just a few hiccups that kept it from being a perfect 5-star experience.
Second, there are NO stars on this review because the restaurant, (specifically at 3075 S. & 5600 W.), certainly does not deserve one! This is the honest truth of what happened.
My wife called this Chili’s for a take out order. Her first 3 tries were never answered and after 6-8 minutes of waiting for someone to answer, (per call) , we decided to call the front desk area to ask if they were really that busy or if, simply, there was no one to take our order. A nice female answered and said that they weren’t that busy, she apologized, and promised to transfer our call directly to the carry out desk and that “I will make sure someone is there to take your order. ” another 6-8 minutes went buy and the phone automatically hung up,yet again!!
Now, most people would probably have just let it go and not dealt with them again, at least for that Sunday evening, and went somewhere else to eat. Which, we eventually did….but not until we called one last time to talk to the manager. Finally!! Maybe we could make a difference in the service at this particular Chili’s establishment for other people. But…when ‘Zach’,(the Sunday night manager came to take our call & complaint, he said that they were “totally slammed ” and, although he did apologize, it seemed like he treated my wife & I as if our patronage or frustration with their service didn’t matter.
My opinion? This Chili’s restaurant needs to be revamped in the service and communication departments and my advice?–>Not all Chili’s are the same. If you really like Chili’s that much, it might be worth driving those extra miles to steer clear of the one at 3075 S. & 5600 W.
Just Saying.
My daughter & I ordered from the “2 for $22 dinner menu “ with a mango-pineapple virgin (non-alcoholic) drink. We were surprised to see how fast the food came out! Every thing tasted wonderful, the portion size was perfect. The drink was too sweet for us, so we added water in it and voalá!
And finally, I love the table top payment option! So easy and efficient. We enjoyed our lunch today very much, will definitely go back later.
