I would like to take a minute and tell perspective Chili’s guest about an experience I had on March 1 Sunday where I took a colleague to lunch.. There was plenty of parking. The parking lot was clean. We walked in the building. We were greeted promptly by the hostess, who was very pleasant engaging and had a smile. The men’s room was extremely clean as well as the restaurant… We sat at the bar with the bartender greeted us professionally with a smile and again promptly made our drinks immediately the drinks were outstanding not what you would expect from a corporate place bartender Jeanette was so pleasant had conversation with us while keeping her other guest equally entertained.. I wanted to share my experience with the manager, Taylor, who Jeanette brought over Taylor came over immediately and again let her know my experience. She was so enthusiastic and cheerful, where we engaged in conversation with her as well. I took it one step further to see if I could speak to her boss, her bass Missy was here at the restaurant as well I was able to share with the general manager, Missy of my experience and how pleased I was, Missy hit it out of the park. She is the right gal for the job !!! This place ran like a well oiled machine. The right hand knew with the left hand was doing a 12 out of a 10 experience. We’ve all heard of Chili’s but really dine in and have the experience that I had well well well worth it. It’ll bring your work week to a beautiful clothes or the start of your work week to a beautiful start. … Thank you staff in all at the Chili’s on Highland Avenue and East Providence. This is my new spot.!!

Went for lunch, we got 2 orders of the three for me. Portions were very generous. For the appetizer, we split an order of the chips and salsa, and a cup of the chicken enchilada soup. Both the chips and the soup came out hot. For our entrées, we got the crispy chicken sandwich and the smasher burger. The sandwiches we’re absolutely enormous. We each only ate half our sandwiches still walked out feeling stuffed.
The service here was also excellent. Our waitress Sandy brought us refills before we even had to ask And was prompt with taking our order and bringing us our food. The hostess, whose name I did not catch was also very kind, and even offered us a bag when she saw me carrying our leftovers out. Total was only $33 and is enough food for two meals easy.

When we walked in our server lead us to our table, we ordered chips and they were really good, and we also ordered the big smasher burger and it was also good, overall a really good experience I would come here again!

I had not been in this restaurant in many years. I’m glad we decided to give it another chance. Their food was great, their drinks were pretty good and their prices were decent.

We ordered pickup. 4 of us. I got the Veggie Santa Fe Burger – and yes I did order it without cilantro, cheese, and Santa Fe sauce, but I expected to get SOMETHING that didn’t look like someone had wiped a plate off on the burger. There was no guacamole and diced veggies but barely, and yellow broccoli as a side. It looked so unappetizing. Never again.

The service was great, greeted well from the moment we walked in and the waitresses ensured our drinks were always filled, occasionally checking up on us throughout the meal. We ordered the triple dipper appetizer ( sliders, egg rolls, and mozzarella sticks ), chips with dip, and ultimate Cajun pasta. The food was delicious and filling enough to where we could take leftovers home.

If I could give less than one star, I would. We were definitely discriminated against for trying to dine in with two children. We were given a time frame of a 30 minute wait. In that time a party of 5 ahead of us was sat and then every party of two and four that arrived after, which totalled roughly 13 adults. After asking out possibly tables to sit at we were told there were closed sections due to a party of 50 they had arriving (even though there was no single area that had enough empty seats of that amount). After 30 minutes and being told the party of 50 was due any minute we decided to leave. When departing a party of 4 walked in and were immediately sat at a table that could have held all 6 of us. Can’t help but assume we were discriminated against for having two kids in our group since almost 20 people were sat, even though most arrived after us. Extremely disappointed in the service and management.

I went in for an early lunch about when they opened. 11:10am. I was promptly greeted, and I chose to sit at the bar. Mari was bartender, she was very friendly and attentive. The food was FANTASTIC! The Smashburger beats anything you can get at BK or McDonalds by a mile! And it’s cheaper! (The 3 for Me special.) Drink, house salad, Smashburger, and fries. For $11.87 pre tip. You can’t beat that! I’ll be back for lunch guaranteed.

I had not been in any Chili’s for 4 or 5 years. In the past with a certain group of friends we went one or twice a year.
I have driven by the East Providence location hundreds of times.
And for a long time, my comment was, we should stop in and try it out again sometime.
Father’s day 2022 we did.
So, the service was fine, staff was great. Food came in decent time for a holiday.
The food itself, was delicious.
My baked seafood was great.
The good Doctors dish great.
No issue with that.
The cokes not watered down.
But then there is the other issue.
Waiting for a table I went to the restroom.
It was filthy and smelled bad.
Because that got my attention, I started to look on the walls, floors, furniture as I went back to wait.
We were then seated quickly, so I didn’t leave, but thought about it.
As I sat and ordered, besides the dirty floors, the walls for a foot and a half up were pretty gross. Our table tho just washed off was greasy.
I have designed restaurants. I know it is a tough business.
I also have owned 4 cleaning businesses over several decades. Keeping them clean is not easy. Economically it is tough to shut down for a complete cleaning.
But seriously, this East Providence location needs it.
It is time to refresh the restaurant.
Then go back to cooking the delicious food.
