Ordered 4 items. Was not told the total until I payed. $72 for 4 items is unreasonable. Then they charged my card twice. I won’t be back. Sad because they have the best chicken satay. The menu says it comes with toast but it doesn’t.

This is usually our go-to spot for lunch. Foods usually good. I believe they change owner so the foods isn’t as good as before. However we still support their business until today. We came in for lunch. They brought out our foods. All the rice portion were extra old rice (already turned yellow and had a really bad odor). Asked if they had different rice they went and got brand new nice. They purposely served the old rice to us while they had newer rice in the back. You can see the difference in the pictures for comparison. On top of that not even a single words of apology. I mean people does make mistakes but the whole establishment? The cook then the sever? Definitely not coming back.

Went in for an early dinner. Was quickly greeted, seated, and given a nice glass of ice cold lemon water. Large menu with plenty of options. I ordered the Tom Yum soup, Fresh Rolls, and a side of Brown Rice.
For the soup I ordered a spicy level three out of possible five. Even though I like spicy stuff, I would now go with a one or a two. The soup was quite delicious. Though it needed some salt. I ordered the seafood combination. The bowl had a couple of muscles, a couple of shrimp, some medium sized scallops, sliced up pieces of calamari, plenty of vegetables, and some crab with a “k”.
The fresh rolls with the accompanying peanut sauce were very nice. The chicken inside was not dry. The vegetables & lettuce were fresh and crisp.
The brown rice was not what I expected. When I make brown rice at home, it is true brown rice. This appeared to be white sticky rice that had beans of some sort added to color the white rice. Not a good option if you have diabetes. I’ll know better next time.
What didn’t I like? The tomatoes in the soup. Crab with a K is a cheap option that I don’t think should be even considered seafood. I’d rather have it omitted if real crab is not available. I already mentioned the issues with the brown rice.
Do I recommend this restaurant? Yes. I’ve eaten take-out from here before and always had a good experience. This was my first dine-in experience.
Service was attentive, quick, friendly, and the food portions were large. Atmosphere is ok; an open format that could get quite loud with a lot of customers.
Next time I will not order the brown rice. But the Tom Yum soup is definitely worth a return trip.

I paid around 25 dollars for crispy chicken, instead I got literal scraps. This is not chicken breast or anything, it tastes like cheap, frozen ground chicken. I will not be ordering or recommending this location. This is seriously messed up where are your morals. On top of that I got the smallest serving of rice.
Side note: Save yourself the grief and go to the one in downtown Tacoma instead. They do things right. They also use quality ingredients and have good servings: I thought I was going to get the same thing. I’ve never been more dissapointed in my life

Ordered papaya salad. Wasn’t like the other Chili thai locations. Lacked the citrus flavors. Service was meh. I ordered take out, but when I picked up the order, I’m sure the guy said less than 10 words to me and not even a smile.

My 1st time here because I saw others post about it. We ordered Tom Kha Chicken soup, Chili Thai Beef, Chili Thai Fried rice, Papaya Salad and Sweet sticky mango rice. Everything tasted ok just wasn’t hitting the way social media was hyping it up. From the cost to flavor and portions. Although, I enjoyed the mango sweet rice but when I got home shortly after I got an upset stomach. I wish they’d allow options to upload photos but if you know you know. Definitely room for improvement.

The food is good, but beware when ordering to go. They include rice with the curry but you should order extra or, better yet, make some at home. They give you maybe a half cup of rice for a full tub of curry. There’s no warning they give you insufficient rice. It’s cheap and leaves a bad impression on an otherwise good experience. Making rice now before we can eat. Shame on you Chili Thai.
