We drove all the way from Kanata to try Chili Thai, and wow was it ever a good decision! Best Pad Thai in the city for sure. Just the right amount of sweet peanutty goodness and sauce. Reputation well earned! I also had the drunken noodles with medium spicy and it was fantastic! I appreciated ginger, they were generous with the ginger and it just packed it with so much flavor. The heat at medium was the kind that’s not bad at first bite and does the slow build as you eat it. Perfect if you want to enjoy a dish and not climb a spice mountain (I’ve been there, it’s fun but so is tasting the rest of the dish which I could!). Finally the raisin beef was just the perfect amount of sweet and savoury. Very unique dish, we loved it! The Coconut soup was also fantastic. Well worth the 1 hour drive to have such quality Thai food! Couldn’t recommend more, even if you are coming from the west end!

My parents bought some Thai food from this establishment and we were all pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The only thing was their mild spice was relatively spicier than what we were used to whenever we ordered mild from other Thai restaurants. My toddler ate it and cried because the food was spicy. He was upset he couldn’t enjoy what we were eating (pad Thai, pad see ew and curry). Either way, we adults enjoyed it but we also thought the heat built up more than other mild Thai dishes. Still, the food was good. I’ll order less spice next time but we’ll be back.

It took a while to get through on the phone, as they only have one phone line, but it was so worth it. It was also a Saturday night around the holiday season, so they were bound to be busy. The food is absolutely the best Thai I’ve ever had. They display their many awards proudly. The woman who took our order and seems to run the front of house treats you like an old friend. It was a great experience overall! Definitely keep trying to get through if their phone line is busy!

We both ordered traditional Pad Thai: mine with beef, hers with shrimp. We also added a side of their amazing spring rolls. Everything we ate was absolutely perfect—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.
One quick tip for everyone: call in your order ahead of time. I made the mistake of walking in without calling, only to learn that during busy hours, they need about 45 minutes to prepare your food. This isn’t a complaint—quite the opposite! It’s a great sign that they’re in high demand and that their food is loved by many. However, it’s not clearly mentioned anywhere, so calling ahead will save you the wait.

Was excited to try out this location because of the reviews. And I was not disappointed! I called at 4.30pm as some of the reviews complained about wait times. Was able to pick up by 5.50pm Having been to Thailand I have been searching high and low for a place that was authentic and I can say it meets that standard. I definitely will order here again. The whole family loved it. When ordering rice – get 1 per person. My fav was the green curry.

This unique place is a nice alternative to Thai food franchises. We appreciated our 3 meals which were made with fresh and real ingredients, with generous amounts of meat. Service was friendly but took longer than we were told. The front of the place where you wait for and pick up your food, while charming and authentic, could use some tidying up and better lighting though. We are looking forward to returning to try other items in the menu.
