What a gem of authentic Thai in Puyallup! I was blown away by the depth of flavor / umami their curry and sauce bases have. I’m immediately addicted, especially with a lunch special under $15!
The atmosphere is upscale, relaxed, smooth jazz playing overhead with polished and professional staff
Great place for a date, family outing, quick lunch but with a fresh cut orchid next to you instead of eating while driving, and fast service with a smile.
Make this your regular spot and you won’t be disappointed. Even if you never had Thai food or are a picky eater, they will change your pallet with one bite.

I’ve never seen Thai food plated so beautifully! The atmosphere is very nice and the service top notch. We had three of our “stand-bys” – a good place to start for a new Thai place: Swimming Rama, Pad See Ew, and the Crab Wontons. Best Swimming Rama I’ve had – very gingery. Excellent wontons – certainly the prettiest ever. But the Pad See Ew was missing something to my palate. I couldn’t tell you what it was, but I was a little disappointed. That being said, I’d certainly come back and try it again…need to try the Pad Thai!

Delicious Thai food! We had the crab wontons, sweet and sour chicken and the spicy basil fried rice with tofo. All very good!
The music playing was a little loud and annoying, but atmosphere was nice otherwise.
Service was ok. Food came out fast, but we waited awhile to get our check.

I called in for an order for Mango Fried Rice and Basil Fried Rice. I picked it up from the restaurant and headed home. We were enjoying our meal until we saw a little surprise in the Mango Fried Rice which made us lose our appetite. I don’t think it was intended for the experience to be this way, but I’m addressing this, because the food tasted great and I’m hoping to see some positive changes for this location.

I called about the problem and they were kind to give me a full refund for the entire order. I appreciate that they took ownership of their own mistake. I hope that this interaction will be the last straw for these type of things to happen again. I hope I can come back with no surprises this time. Changing the rating into a 3 for the great customer service! Lets do a runback and hope for a 5 for the next time I am here.

Excellent food! The fried rice is delicious and so is the bamboo noodles. And very great and attentive staff. The staff was also fantastic overall. I was very impressed overall with this restaurant. It was also very clean.

Had a good dinner at Chili Thai. Took a few minutes of standing at the entrance by their ‘please wait to be seated’ sign to be acknowledged by staff as they moved around the FOH. There was a large group party that seemed to take much of their attention/energy the night we dined. Had the Pad See-Eiw with beef and Mango Fried Rice with chicken. The portion size was fair and the pieces of protein were generous. That being said, the beef was quite chewy and definitely overcooked. The chicken was a bit more tender. The pad see-eiw wide noodles were quite large and may have benefited from being cut into a smaller, more easily digestible size. The mango fried rice was the better of our 2 dishes. The mango was the perfect amount of sweet to provide flavour to the rice. We loved this one! Both did come with a good amount of vegetables as well.
Service was friendly when they checked in on the food (once), and they did refill water when needed. Would return if in the area on our travels!

My favorite thai place in Puyallup, the 38th St Tacoma location is also fantastic. I always get the eggplant tofu or pad Thai and those are so good I rarely venture away from them. Service is very friendly and quick. I almost always do takeout, but dine in atmosphere is very nice too.

I had a late lunch at Chili Thai today and I have nothing but praise. Not only did they have excellent food, but they allowed me to plug in and charge my laptop so I could do some work while enjoying lunch. They brought me lemon water and soup as soon as I sat down. I got the Garlic Chicken Wings and they came out piping hot and very tasty. I also had the Chicken Pad Thai which was very flavorful. They checked in with me multiple times to ensure I didn’t need anything else and refilled my water frequently. Very happy with my experience. I will be returning here.

We went to pumpkin patch and got some lunch with friends, we ordered Green curries with Chicken which let me tell as authentic tasting as they come! Pad kee maw was ordered by my friend and Pad Thai by my husband. They all tasted so good and no greasy at all. The papaya salad I had was good but a little to sour for my taste, other than that service, price everything was commendable ! Would for sure return for another pleasant meal 🙂
