Popped in here for some great food during a train stopover. The servers were friendly and fast! Very pleasant experience. We ordered:
(1) Gobi Pakora. Nicely made and sauce was good.
(2) Butter Chicken and rice. The sauce was excellent. Delicious.
(3) Buttered Naan. Very nicely made.
(4) Mango smoothie: delicious for walk back to train!
(5) Veggie Samosas for a late afternoon supper on train!!
Fairly priced. Easy access. Very good people. Must go to for great food!

I tried Chili Chat Indian Cuisine in Thompson, and overall it’s a solid spot for Indian food. The flavors are good, the menu has a nice variety, and the service is friendly and attentive. The dishes are satisfying, though they don’t quite have the depth and complexity you’d find at top-tier restaurants in bigger cities.
For comparison, Adrak Yorkville in Toronto and Sula in Vancouver are on another level — perfectly balanced spices, fresh ingredients, and very refined dishes. Chili Chat doesn’t reach that level, but for Thompson, it’s a very respectable option.
Prices are reasonable, portions are good, and it’s a comfortable place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. If you’re in town and craving Indian food, Chili Chat will do the job — it’s approachable, flavorful, and a nice addition to the local dining scene.

The Butter chicken was phenomenal, perfectly balanced flavor amd the nan was thin but very soft, the Samosa was a whipped potato interior and tasted divine. I wasn’t a huge fan of their veggie pakora as I personally found it a little dry but I’d still 10/10 order from here again next time I’m passing through Thompson

I’ve been to 39 countries, every major city in Canada and almost every town in between. Chili Chat takes the cake as the best Indian cuisine I’ve had.
Although their sizzler plates take a big longer than your average lunch dish are worth the wait. My 3rd time in 2 visits to Thompson.
Don’t let the exterior or decor fool you as it does look a bit dated. This food is phenomenal.

Absolutely delicious food. Authentic flavour and portions are big enough for leftovers. It’s definitely a change from Boston Pizza. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Thompson.
