We ordered two Create Your Own Bowls ($12.10) and added extra protein to each one. The bowls were packed all the way to the lid, so the portions were definitely generous. We had leftovers and didn’t feel heavy after our meal so it’s a convenient healthy option.

– Braised Korean BBQ Pork: Tasted like pulled pork so we weren’t huge fans.
– Spicy Chicken: Not as good as the fried chicken options. It’s like poached chicken tossed in a spicy sauce. Wish the sauce was caramelized so it can coat the chicken better.
– Bang Bang Chicken: Fried boneless chicken bites coated in their zesty Bang Bang sauce. It was okay. I wouldn’t have known it was fried and couldn’t really tell what the flavor was until I read the description.
– K’Pop Chicken: Fried boneless chicken bites in the Gangnam sauce. This was the best of the three chicken proteins we tried thanks to their Gangnam sauce.
– Base – Brown Rice: Great texture, not hard.
– Base – Jasmine Rice: Really good. The white rice tasted like it was lightly seasoned or flavored.
– Base – Japchae Noodles: Delicious, well cooked with great texture and flavor.
– Base – Fries: Not a great base option. The fries got soggy.
– Cold Toppings: All the veggies were fresh so you really cannot go wrong. I especially loved the esquites and caramelized kimchi. Recommend skipping the tortilla strips for takeout or delivery since they can get soggy.
– Sauce: The carrot ginger dressing was surprisingly really good and even had little bits in it. I was not a fan of the magic sauce since it tasted like a spicy mayo aioli that was not spicy.

Used to love Chi’lantro for both the quality of food and value for your dollar, but I have repeatedly had poor experiences lately (at least with the Riverside location). Ordering delivery online and requesting extra tofu but getting basically a normal bowl, which now seem smaller than they used to be (thanks, inflation); getting incorrect sauces; picking up for delivery and having to go back in because they forgot a side… Food continues to taste good mostly, but service and quality control really need help.

My boss recommended the kimchi fries while I visit here. It was really good! Couldn’t have too much of it as the sweetness was a little much for me after awhile but highly recommend!

Great location, great food! They really load you up so portions are amazing. Levi at the riverside location was super helpful and nice too!

I got recommended this place and decided to stop by after a hair appointment. It was my first time and the workers were so nice. They didn’t rush me and were kind enough to answer my questions. The woman working there even gave me a sample of the chicken to try.

I ended up getting kimchi fries which were AMAZING. it was so fresh, crispy and the fries didn’t start getting soggy until I was just about finished. I took home some japchae for dinner which was also very nice yummy. Overall, I definitely recommend this place! Workers, food, and customer service was really great!

Chi’Lantro use to be a food truck. You can tell it lost some of that creative energy & charm since moving into an established brick and mortar. Not bad if you are looking for a quick bite (taste more of a chain than an authentic food experience). The portions are generous and the service was excellent. Definitely better than Chipotle and reasonably priced.

Been coming here a while. Great location and healthy, fresh food at a fair price for the portion size. Also, good customer service- I had a small snafu and they comped me a free bowl. Chris and the team here do a great job.

It’s fusion. Although it was good (not great), I prefer traditional Korean cuisine. Kimchi was pretty good, but I’m not into “kimchi fries”. While I appreciate the custom bowl, I came to realize, I’m not into fusion. I’m sure some peeps may like it. Not my thing, but try it. Staff was friendly and courteous and the place was clean. Fair prices.

This Chi’Lantro has amazing food and amazing service! I would definitely come back if we were in Austin longer. Lots of vegan and gluten-free options including the noodles! Try the kimchi and marinated tofu.

Really enjoyed my experience here, and the food was great. I was going to eat at the Chi’Lantro on congress st, but the regular storefront was undergoing construction and it was replaced by a Chi’Lantro van around the corner.

The van looked good, but I wanted to sit down and relax, so we drove to this location.

It was awesome, the place looked brand new and really clean. When you walk in it feels a little like walking into a fast-food restaurant, but that feeling quickly goes away when you see how much care they put into preparing the food and how friendly and genuine the staff are.

The Original Kimchi fries are unreal, we had two servings, one with spicy pork, one with steak. We also had the Korean wings, which were great too.

We also had a really good experience, with staff actually interested in if our meal was going well and the store owner/manager came over and gave us free soda cups for fountain drinks.
