Menu is a little busy. Hard to read cuz it flips. I asked for a paper menu, was told none available. Don’t get me wrong food was good, beans were cold, and reasonable prices. I know they’re new and given the chance they would probably do good.

If you are looking for a different Mexican joint to grab something to eat on the island, you have to try Chilangos Brothers! We sampled the tacos, burrito, birria, and the smaller version of El Machete. The birria tacos were delicious, but they did not give me stew or dip for my tacos, so please add some dip to the birria. The other tacos and burrito were delicious as well. The Machete is a quesadilla that comes with whatever kind of meat you want, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. The food was fresh, and the sauces were really good! The green Salas was my favorite, and the light brown Salas was spicy. Go check them out!

When you walk in it’s apparent that the location is a small Mom and Pop. The food was wonderful as is the ambiance. Luchador masks and el chavó del ocho art. This is the embodiment of growing up Hispanic. Try the food and you will not be disappointed. The portion was good for the price. I have been driving by patiently waiting for them to open and I can say I was not disappointed.

I wanted tacos, so I figured I’d try this new spot out. They weren’t friendly at all. Considering how new it is, this isn’t a good start. My daughter and I were barely acknowledged and it felt like we were bothering them. Due to my hunger I decided to order anyway. The food is delicious, but I’m not sure I’ll be going back. I understand this could be a one off and I hope it is.

“El Machete” was delicious loved their Horchata too. The wait is a little long but honestly so worth the wait and the owners are super nice. I’ll be coming back next time we come to Galveston!!
