Reviews
• coleslaw- no dressing or seasoning at all. Just straight raw cabbage.
• No mac and cheese that we ordered
• Waffles super dry and covered in greasy cayenne pepper paste
• chicken was super greasy covered in greasy cayenne pepper paste. No flavor or seasoning. Just thick chunks of grease and cayenne. It was inedible.
Why would anyone eat this? I love cayenne pepper and spicy food. This tasted awful. Take a bowl of cayenne pepper, dampen it with canola oil, and eat a spoonful. That is exactly what this tasted like. No zing. No salt.
Shaun the guy behind the counter is another reason I come back. He’s always happy to serve you and will make you feel comfortable and at home. All these guys here treat you like they’ve known you their whole life I can’t imagine anyone ever coming here and having a bad experience. Take my word into consideration but you truly won’t get it until you come try it for yourself.
THE DAMN HOT CHICKEN IS HOT AS HELL LOL be careful with that and even for how hot it was it was still packed with flavor.

I called CHiKN in Cranberry to ask if their chicken was Halal, and to my surprise, it was. That alone made me happy, but I really wish they advertised it clearly because it is not easy finding Halal chicken options in the area. Shawn at the counter was friendly and helpful. He explained which menu items had bacon and said they could be made without it. The place was clean, well kept, and had an open kitchen setup. Pricing was fair for what they offer.
Now for the disappointing part. My food came out in about two minutes, which made me wonder… When was it made? I ordered the loaded fries, and while the flavor on the chicken was good, the tender was shredded after being fried, which completely ruined the texture. Which made no sense… If I’m gonna eat the calories for fried food… Why would it be shredded??? The fries were average, and the large pieces of bell pepper did not fit the dish at all. I could not finish the meal because it just did not come together well. I went back the next day to try again, but they were out of chicken nuggets and only had tenders, which I had already tried. I appreciate that CHiKN serves Halal chicken, but the food itself needs improvement.
Also, would be great if they advertised the calorie on the menu board along with the price. Coleslaw was not my favorite.
I have been here twice, the first time the kids meal nuggets were good but had little bits in the coating that would break your teeth. Delicious chicken though.
The second time the chicken strips were hard as a rock and I had to bring them back in. That was at 2pm on Dec 6. Not sure what is happening here but there are quality issues. Nice people though.
Update: The chicken strip meal they replaced it with was absolutely fresh and delicious plus extra fries. I’ll give it one more try and update the stars next time.
