The chieftain grill is one of my favorite places to eat…. The grilled chicken salad is to absolutely die for. While traveling, I’ve eaten there dozens of times and I leave every time with a smile on my face.

My son and I stopped in after working north of Dickens. Friday was the fish special and it was outstanding! The owners interacted with us and just put such a personal touch on the experience. The food was delicious and if you are in the area or want to take a short drive from Lubbock you need to try it out. This is a true Mom and Pop experience and you won’t be disappointed. We will be returning for the steak fingers, they look awesome!

The chicken fried steak and grilled chicken sandwich were delicious! Seasoned just right and cooked perfectly. Broccoli was really good, too, as well as the fries and onion rings.

We don’t live in Crosbyton, so we called in a cheeseburger basket from about 10 minutes out and it was ready when we pulled up to the window. I opened it immediately and my mom said “ Now THAT’S a Burger!” The buns were buttery-soft and lightly grilled, veggies were fresh, meat was flavorful and a nice size. Wonderful burger and fries were really good too!! The only thing I wish is that that they had milkshakes. Omg!! That would have put it over the edge!
This place has some great-sounding specials. You can tell that the owners are very hands-on and have a passion for food. Definitely worth the drive!! I will be back and would highly recommend this place!!!

Came here for a girl’s lunch with my mama and we absolutely enjoyed our meal! I ordered the chicken strips, not knowing what to expect. I was presently pleased with hand cut and battered chicken strips with delicious gravy, thick toast, and wonderful crunchy curly fries. The owner, Danny even sat to visit with us and made sure we were satisfied with everything. We will most definitely be coming back and recommending to all our family and friends! Thank you Danny!
