Eclectic, friendly crowd, efficient and fabulous bartenders. Every time I go here someone interesting strikes up a conversation with me. The bar manager/bartender is my secret crush. Shh. I highly recommend this place for strong drinks, good vibes and also… karaoke. This review is long overdue but well-deserved.

I’ve never eaten there so I can’t speak to the food, but the bar itself is one of the best in the area. Nice selection of beer and liquor, friendly staff, and an eclectic crowd of characters. Patrons tend to skew a bit older outside of karaoke Wednesday so it’s typically a relaxed environment, even during late nights on the weekends.

It’s a very crowded, smallish venue. Nothing really special. Recently was hanging out for a couple drinks and decided to queue up some music on the jukebox. BAD move. It was busy, so I payed extra to play Jefferson Starship and Ice House ahead of the other queued songs. Well, the bartender was none too happy about my song selections and proceeded to skip the first one, then the next one, than entirely shut down the machine. Sorry to the people who payed for the other 10 or so songs that were supposed to be played…. My bad

Fun bartenders, mixed crowd, Black friendly.
I have found the acoustics to be hard on the ears when the crowd gets loud. Every Friday there’s a band playing. I’ve heard everything from jazz to bluegrass.
They don’t have an extensive menu, but they partner with Buck’s Pizza across the street. When your order is ready, the bartenders will walk over to pick up your pizza and hand deliver it to you, rain, sleet, or shine. – That’s good service!

Formerly Johnny’s Packer Inn, I hadn’t been here in years but we were meeting my friend & her spouse who works there 2 days a week. We had a great time! The beers on tap were great & I love the oatmeal stout – on tap! How I miss WI bars! (I’m dispaced in the South…) We played a card game for a chance at about a $2k pot & for $10, I unfortunately did not win anything but it was fun.
The service was speedy & attentive, the female barkeep was lively, the crowd happy & amiable & the atmosphere on a Monday evening was perfect. Not too crowded, not dull & fun. We’ll be back – especially when Al is working!

This bartender is incredible! I’ve never seen someone run as fast for so long. She is serving 50 heavy drinkers by herself. The music is great. Bluesie guitar and vocals. Atmosphere and crowd are right in my wheelhouse. Middle-aged crowd with a lot of energy. People dancing in the back of the bar. Very good tap beer selection. Very loud and crowded, however. Not for the timid. Good times!

Agree with many others, bartender was working her butt off. Efficient and attentive to everyone. Went for the first time a couple months ago and want to go back! Patrons were great, a mixed variety, even made a couple friends….wouldn’t describe it as a “townie” place. Band playing that night was great. Thanks to other reviews/reviewers….that’s what made me go check it out!
