Asked a local about a place to have ice cream and was told that this is THEE place in town. They were not kidding. Excellent ice cream, good flavor selection, large portions at a fair price. They make shakes and other ice cream related items too. Currently open during the warmer months but heard they are considering putting in a drive up window and staying open all year.

My daughter and I went after dinner and it was a delicious treat. We went there around 5:00-ish on a Tuesday and we were the only ones in line. Perfect timing for us. I am certain the weekends are busier.
What we ordered – I got one scoop of the peanut butter explosion and one scoop of coffee break! It was the perfect combination! My daughter got vanilla in a cone and it was a ton and she loved it. Great place for ice cream and to chill. Thanks for a great experience!

Great ice cream! I’ve been hearing about this place and it’s chocolate soda for over 28 years. My wife grew up here in Goshen, Indiana and we now live in Southern California. We came to visit her family and she brought me here. Did not disappoint! The nostalgia that came with it was great. The scenery around the place was amazing.

Amazing high quality ice cream with great big serving sizes!!!
The only odd thing was the peanut butter sauce looks like chocolate. That would be better if it was normal peanut butter sauce, but the ice cream made up for that. Peanut Butter Oreo ice cream was epic.

This place is always busy and it’s because their ice cream is so good!! They always have a line so prepare to wait a few minutes. I ordered a coconut sundae, it was delicious!! They do have a few benches to sit on in the back which is noice when the weather cooperates. Definitely will go back to try something new!

I love The Chief!!! There are some ice cream parlors around that will not give you that much. The Chief is always so generous with the portions they give. The price is comparable with other parlors that give 60% less ice cream than The Chief!! Peanut Butter Oreo is my absolute favorite!!!
