I come here after getting my haircut. Gotta say this is one of my favorite spots in Long Island. They really hook you up with huge sandwiches full of flavors and have amazing fries. The staff is always friendly and genuinely care. Not many places I can say is like this but 1000/10 recommend.

This is a little franchise place. They have locations throughout Long Island & Queens. I ordered the Chiddy’s Signature & Buffalo Wings. I ordered online so I used the promo code to get 50% off the wings. Decently priced for the food and quality that you get. The cheese steak had tender juicy meat with a good amount of cheese slathered in there. Nothing was overpowering not too salty. Each ingredient complimented eachother. The wings were slathered on nicely with the buffalo. Had a decent amount of meat, not dry meatless wings. With the discount, the wings, are very much worth the price. Spent around $23 in total. Overall I see why this is a high rated spot

I don’t come here often as the food always takes a bite out of my wallet, but the food here has always been great. I’ve always got a good cheese steak from them, from the standard cheese steak to the belly buster. Most recently, I was there and had their Double meat pete cheese steak as well as an order of their amazing Disco fries. As expected, they didn’t disappoint. The cheese steak was good and all but their fries are always really good and pairing it with beef and gravy is just the icing on the cake. I like to order online but keep in mind that they charge a $1 convenience fee for ordering online. There is a parking lot directly behind the establishment.

It was my first time trying this location with food , as you should expect spotless service and quality of food as paying full prices on top of that it was pick up order so I was obliged to tip but from personal experiences like 25yrs ago, i appreciate all work to serve someone so I even tipped 13-14% tip online
However I usually am east going person but this sub i requested to cut in 3 picks for a reason and it clearly shows on the receipt they taped on the bag but nah they just chopped it off in a half like that don’t care of special requests , if so you shouldn’t even give customer an option to put on when order – I called remembering the girl at the front when I picked up my food which I assumed it was her answered , even tho I didn’t want anything about it but just wanted to point it out so they DO pay attention to little things requested
But she just sounded like “ok sorry so what it ain’t a big deal you said but why you calling “ type of attitude, not her words , that’s how I felt she sounded , she didn’t say “ oh we are sorry we missed that out when we made your order , I will make sure to bring attention to our kitchen staff now on, hope your food is good tho so you would come back for better experience “ the. She could’ve cuss about me after the call , which I do t mind –
I’ve trained many employees in service work areas
And whoever deal with customer should be the face of that business and handle good or bad citations where ppl feel like they do want to come back yet bring their loved ones too
A simple smile can be a good service when you greed ppl walk in if you know what i mean
Overall I just had to chopped up my food more to my intention of burying that sub originally

Extremely disappointing on the food. I’ve eaten here before and the sandwiches were great but not this time. The order had 4 items. 2 were wrong and over-cooked – the Signature sandwich was dried out and missing the key ingredients. The nacho’s ordered were missing from the order and we received a call to come back and get them. The nacho’s were burnt and the meat was dried out. Tuesday night, not a good night for Chiddy’s (and a fundraiser no less for FHS) – very disappointing

Cheesesteaks taste like frozen Steakums food from King Kullen. Also super greasy and gross. Prices are outrageous. Especially for something like Mac n cheese and more traditional “kids” items. The owner should be embarrassed. It’s criminal.
Edit: as for the owners reply trying to make it sound like I just give negative reviews, he not only does not know how to cook good food and price it fairly, but is not wise enough to know that people often don’t write negative reviews using their real name. I guess his ego made him forget the negative review by Mike Hunt just three months ago in which another customer gave his honest feelings and a fair review. There are dozens of positive reviews by me under my real name. Why would I leave a negative review on my real name? Don’t be angry. Cook better food and price it reasonably.
Also “best in Long Island” just means that you have any random friend that nominated you and then had other family and friends vote for you. Speaks nothing to the quality of your food. It’s not an objective process. Just Google it and you’ll see it’s a money grab that requires business owner to pay $3,000 to run an ad boasting about it which this owner clearly does lol. As a frequent flyer of Chiddy’s cheesesteaks in farmingdale, I obviously had to give the Commack location a try – and it did not disappoint.
Are you not drooling by looking at the pictures of the food I included in this review? Because all I want is more Squealin’ Fries (bacon and cheese fries).
My go to order is always a custom cheesesteak because I’m a plain Jane with toppings – ribeye steak, with wiz and that’s it. I think next time I will add the chipotle aioli sauce to my custom cheese steak though and a small squealin fries. With your meal you get a complimentary canned soda which I think is quite nice.
Shout out to Evan for great customer service! I tried the apple pie empanada and it was delish! I’m usually not one to order a full meal and dessert when eating out unless it’s a special occasion but it soooo good and I’m glad I took Evans suggestion to try it out.
This is the best cheesesteak place on Long Island. So you better check it out!

The entire environment here is super laid back, and the staff was very friendly, and I was genuinely shocked at how fast I got my order.
I sat down. And maybe 3-5 mins later, BOOM it came out, and was fresh.
The sandwich was on point, the fires, and the motz were top tier!
Unfortunately, I didn’t finish the fries, but overall great experience!
Definitely would recommend ordering from here if given any opportunity or chance.
The downside doesn’t even have to do with this place,
Its just the parking.
Parking anywhere around here is a nightmare.
