The food was decent but I don’t really see why this place is so hyped up for “the place to go” when you come to El Paso. Their tacos are rolled and deep fried making the meat a little dry. You can smother it in salsa and cheese to soften it and add flavor. The beef stew burrito smells good but is lacking taste/flavor. The fries were good, maybe their burgers are better but for a place named Chico’s Tacos I’d think their tacos would be top notch. The prices are affordable. Did I eat the food? Yes. Would I crave this place? Not really.

A childhood staple for me and my family..it was good when I was younger then it was a miss as I got older..and now it seems like they are BACK!! And a lot friendlier than when I was a kid!! Hard times have made them humble!!! When I come from Dallas I have to get my fix!!

This is apparently a local favorite… but it must be one of those nostalgic places from your childhood to believe it to be good. The rolled tacos had an old grease flavor to them, and then they’re placed in a flavorless tomato broth and covered with cheese…Just not god overall. Tasted like a box of frozen taquitos in watered down tomato soup.

Chico’s has been around for decades. They keep the tables and floors clean, at least when we visited there. Food was good as has always been the case. Service was prompt, and even though there was a line we didn’t wait very long. There seems to be someone looking out to clean out the tables and booths when someone leaves so that tables remain clean for others to sit and enjoy their food. Simple, quick, clean, & tasty. Only thing, the fries could have been a little crisper and hotter.

This place has a lot of hype. There was not much parking due to how busy it was and the line was out of the door and around the corner. The security guard stopped me and said they required masks which I didn’t have because this was the only place I’ve been to all week that required it. But he did still let me in and told me to get one from the counter before getting in line. As for the food, the “tacos” are rolled tacos which I basically consider taquitos. They are place in a red sauce that is far too liquid and you can barely eat it without it splashing on you. They give you green salsa to put on top. The fries were good and crispy. The hot dog is a hot dog with beans and beef on a hamburger but. The food wasn’t bad but not something I’d get again myself. The prices were very affordable however. I got a single order, a cheeseburger, fries, and hot dog for about $12.

The place needs a total makeover, the roof looks old as well as the tables, I get that it’s supposed to keep their original aesthetic or idk but that can be kept while making it look more clean and presentable. The food is the same, American Mexican fusion that is too bland for my taste. Good service.

Always delicious… The red sauce for the tacos is a little different but still good…. They went back to the original finely shredded cheese which is the best!!
