As someone new to town, I was excited to check out Chick’s Bar and have a good time. I started off by playing some slot machines, which was fine. Then, I decided to try out the Golden Tee machine. Not knowing much about it, I asked one of the patrons if I could win some money playing it, and he said yes. To my surprise, it turned out the machine was purely for fun and didn’t pay out any winnings. Feeling a bit misled, I asked the bartender—a girl working there—if I could get my money back. Her response? A flat-out no.
What made the situation worse was her attitude. When I tried to ask more questions, she became rude and disrespectful, even calling me names. I didn’t want to escalate the situation, so I kept my cool and left the bar, shocked by her behavior. I ended up calling the vending machine company myself to sort out the issue.
It was clear that, despite me tipping generously with every drink, this bartender didn’t care to treat a new customer with basic respect. Instead, she chose to be unnecessarily hostile. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a bar, and I won’t be going back.

Exactly what you want in a dive bar! Staff and locals are super welcoming and friendly. Cash only and affordable drinks. They play scotch doubles pool along with rules on the wall. You will play with other customers. This was my first time there and honesty wasn’t sure what to expect being Latina and my first time there after reading other reviews. I will definitely be back. They have a ATM, darts, gambling, lottery and other games, TV with with sports playing, and clean restrooms with multiple stalls.

It’s a dive bar. But it’s got charm, when it’s not packed it’s kind of a nice at home style place. It’s usually not filled with tourist which makes it a nice spot to get away from crazy Hershey tourist. But it’s a dive, so don’t expect too much. But if this is your vibe, it’s the best in town.

So I arrived, the blonde bartender looked over my ID, took my drink order, and set it in front of me before informing me they only accepted cash! That should have been mentioned right off the get-go. There was no sign stating that anywhere. Besides that, my green tea shots were very good though! Perfect balance of alcohol and flavor.

Great local pub. Friendly bartender, Brian. Great drinks and FYI cash only bar. There is a ATM on site but if you don’t want to get a surcharge bring cash but prices are not bad. For example got a rum and coke and Jameson and coke came to $9. Definitely will come again!

I’ve been going to Chick’s at least once a month for years. Always friendly folks. Good service. Bartenders that greet me and know me by name even though I’m just once a month! (Karaoke!) Noticed several bad reviews all within a small time-frame. I find them suspect…especially since a few of them review the gross and terrible food. Chick’s doesn’t serve food. So–work your way around those obviously biased reviews–and check the place out for yourself.

This place is a gem! Loved the bartenders Sam and Frank! Love them so friendly and great at what they do! Everyone here is chill great spot to chill and have a few drinks, popcorn, and play pool. My fav spot hands down!

Quiet townie bar. Great for familiar faces and big groups to watch football games. The owner doesn’t tolerate any BS so there’s never any problems with other patrons. Great hole in the wall to grab a beer with friends.

Found this gem last year, never had a bad experience yet,the patrons were always cool and engaging,Sam the bartender is a Hoot to talk to and just listen to some of her replies to some people who try to needle her is worth the price of admission itself!! Love it
