I’m new to Vermont and someone told me that this place had the best cheese steaks. To be honest it was just ok to me. The meat was overcooked, cheese was like plastic and I ordered peppers on it and I think I received 1 slice. The fries were ok while they were hot. The onion rings were the best of thing I had from there.

Best sub in Winooski, hands down. Enormous and delicious. The folks behind the counter are fantastic. The selection of groceries is somewhat lacking, but enough to get by for sure. Oh, and creemees! Corner location with large sign is easy to find. Street parking. Empanada specials! A great neighborhood corner store and deli.

Chick’s is the first time in a long time I’ve spent $12.50 on food and gotten $12.50’s worth. At Mcdonald’s you’d pay $20 for the same volume you get here, with less than half the quality. And the staff is level headed and grounded about what they do; don’t give them any shit and they’re cordial and friendly.
Just remember, call and order up front before coming to get your food. It can take a while for them to make it.

I had to learn the hard way about this place. The staff needs work on time management. Ordering food takes an incredible long amount of time. Yeah food good. But make sure they have clean gloves on. Staff has a big problem with a simple request of customers to change their gloves that have touched garbage. The staff has a bad rep of being rude and is the known spot of the gossip factory. And have included customers in on it when they just want to leave after waiting a hour for food. I would rather get great service and less drama. If that’s what your looking for it isn’t here. Yep the food is good but be prepared to wait an hour to get it. And make sure they did it in front of you with clean gloves on.

The sandwiches are huge, and we’ll with the price. You will be satisfied eating 1/4 of the sandwiches and stuffed if you managed through half of one. The ladies that work there are very friendly and personable. I can’t wait to try the burgers. Apparently they are 1/2 pound of in store mixed all beef.
