You can’t go wrong with chickpea! The food is fresh and the service is excellent. I highly recommend a chicken tahini bowl or wrap, what I call a “Mediterranean Greek Salad” or a chicken pita with ranch mixed with a little hot sauce. (Hot sauce has a decent kick, go lite if you are unsure. The flavor makes it worth it.)
If you don’t know where to start, ask for Nathan. He can walk you through the options or recommend one of my favorites . -Just show him this, he knows my order-
They also have a great selection of low calorie drinks in the cooler.
A tip: the portions are huge. If you don’t typically eat a large lunch, put sauces and pita chips on the side. Leftovers reheat well.

If you still haven’t tried this restaurant, I don’t know what you’re waiting for! It’s the only place truly worth your money. The food is absolutely delicious, with a great variety of proteins, veggies, and dressings. And you know what’s most amazing about this place? You can choose as many options as you want—with no limitations, which not many places allow. They keep adding delicious new options to their menu, giving customers an even wider variety to pick from. I crave their food all the time; every bite feels like heaven! Keep up the great work, Chickpea!!

I have to tell you guys about Chick falafel and its amazing schwarma bowls and sandwiches!!! Since I am in my 50’s I can tell you that it has been hard to find a TRULY gourmet tasting Lebanese dining experience since the LaShish brand faded away 15 yrs ago but NOW I HAVE!! This little family owned gem outshines Middle Eats, Chickpea and Sahara. It is the best, the freshest, the tastiest and (can you believe it?) THE MOST AFFORDABLE of all of them. You can get this in person or by carryout and I promise you, you will have your NEW FAV go to. I loved every bite. So tasty and comforting and greatly satisfying. I ordered the.REGULAR size bowl and ate it for TWO meals so I can imagine the Premium large size being humongous!! Stop in and make sure to order the spicy sauce on your sandwich or bowl!!! I am soexcited to have found this place. Yay!!!

Chickpea is really the best restaurant in Sterling Heights. It is a great place to eat at regularly. The food is always fresh, and most of it is very healthy. The price is an amazing value, I always receive more food than at other fast casual restaurants. There is also way more options of different foods than at chipotle/qdoba. The staff is always very quick, even when busy. Additionally, they are very nice – always wishing a blessed day. The atmosphere is relatively basic, however most importantly it is very clean. I enjoyed the holiday decorations during Christmas. The only time I don’t eat here is when it’s closed!

I always have such a great experience when visiting chickpea! Bandelle was super kind and patient while I built my bowl, and everything came out fresh and delicious. She made the whole process easy and welcoming, which honestly makes such a difference.
I will definitely keep coming back — love this place!

I haven’t been this disappointed in food in a long time. I was referred to Chickpea by a friend who says they eat there every day. I couldn’t believe how underwhelming every aspect of my meal was. I got a bowl with rice (unsalted and unseasoned), lentils (I couldn’t even tell they were there because it was so bland), chicken & steak combo (chicken was barely seasoned, the beef was just chewy chunks of bland beef). I could go on, but not one thing had flavor or seasoning. The closest ingredient to being flavorful at all was the cilantro-jalapeno hummus, but with the lack of salt it just fell flat. My bowl tasted like 11 different textures of nothing. My side of pita chips and hummus were just as disappointing, the chips (like everything else) were unsalted and unseasoned so they just tasted like oil, and the hummus tastes like it comes straight from a can. The rice pudding was the last hope, and has an overpowering floral taste to it, I think it might be rose water?
With all of the Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern places Metro Detroit has to offer, this place was a one-and-done with me for sure. When I think of this culture’s food, I think vibrant herbs and spices and flavor-packed meals. There was not one thing I ate here that resembled that.

My husband and I had amazing grilled chicken and steak bowls. The toppings were fresh and tasty. The young woman who made our bowls was sweet, helpful and seemed genuinely interested in making a great meal for us- making recommendations for the perfect bowl combinations!
My only complaint was that the restaurant was a little chilly for eating in. However, with record breaking wind chill temperatures tonight and doors opening continuously opening with a steady flow of customers, that couldn’t be helped.
We will definitely come back whenever we are in the area.
Thank you!!

Came to try chickpea for the first time because my coworkers were talking about it and I absolutely loved my experience, the store is pretty clean even though they were a bit busy and the stuff were great! Violet made my bowl and she was so nice! She gave me great recommendations, I got the fattoush and ranch dressing she recommended to get and it paired really well with the bowl, i’ll be back again!
