11/10 service, great guy. Also, patty melt was delicious, but it always is.
Good sports bar, good drinks.
Wasn’t crowded for a Saturday lunch.
Had the crab nachos, warm lobster roll, and oysters. The food was ok, a bit overpriced.
In my opinion, the nachos could have had more crab on it, see photo!, and the lobster roll seemed kind of dry and flavorless for the $32 cost!
I think there’s better seafood places in the area for the price.
If you just want to watch a game, have some drinks, hang with friends, it’s a good place.
The service and atmosphere was great, and I am sure they have better food, but I chose the wrong meal.
I will try something else next time I go there.
We arrived around 8 PM after the Eagles game and ordered drinks, crab fries, and our usual seafood boil for two. Our server took our drink order promptly, but then disappeared for over 20 minutes. We finished the crab fries before she even came back to take our entrée order, and I didn’t bother asking for another drink because of how long everything was taking.
When the seafood boil arrived, only the top layer of seafood had seasoning; everything underneath was bland. As we ate, we noticed sandy grit and eventually found a clam shell filled with black, sludge-like grit at the bottom of the bowl. Several pieces of seafood and onions at the bottom were contaminated. We stopped eating and tried to get someone’s attention, but multiple staff members and managers walked by without acknowledging us, even though we were right by the kitchen entrance. Our server only returned when she was seated a new table next to us, about 10 minutes later.
After we showed her the problem, a manager came out and said they were cooking a new batch and would comp the meal. We asked to take the replacement to go. When we got home, it was obvious it was the same seafood from the original boil, just rinsed off—the same grit, same smell, and barely any seasoning. There was no apology, no explanation, and the check was not comped as implied. Even the butter was just melted butter full of milk solids, not clarified.
We genuinely like this franchise and normally have better service (especially on Sundays), but this visit made us feel like we didn’t matter. As someone who has worked in the food industry, managed dining rooms, and cooked in kitchens, I was shocked by the poor service, lack of hospitality, and carelessly prepared food. I’m not sure we’ll return to this location.
