Just got a chicken sandwich… WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE?! Incredible flavor and freshness. It took a little longer than a fast food joint but man… worth it. They put a single condiment on it, a testament to the chicken’s ability to speak for itself (save for pickles, too, which I had them hold)

UPDATE on Clarkston Chicken Shack, NO CHANGES AND THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE MAKE NO SENCE. LOOK AT THIS PIECE, WHEN ASKED WHAT IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE, THEY SAID THEY THREW IN THAT BECAUSE THE THIGH WAS SO SMALL, TO EAT IT OR THROW IT AWAY, IT WAS FREE.
I could not believe the way she acted, why on earth would you serve that. They should have just replaced the tiny thigh with a better piece if they felt there was a problem. Never again, 4 chances are more than enough.

Not as good the last 3 times going there. Chicken is smaller and lacking seasoning. I keep trying, hope whoever is doing the seasoning goes back to what they were doing. They also should check out getting a new chicken supplier, last time we got all dark meat the drum sticks were the size of a small wing! The thighs were very small also.
I love this place, but 3 times in about 4 months I have trouble going back each time.

Worst food I’ve paid for in a while. Ribs in photo. I’ve eaten chicken shack for 40 years. What I had tonight was absolutely horrible. I don’t even understand how you could possibly mess it up that bad. Greasy, burnt, dry, and old tasting. Corporate definitely needs to check-in on Clarkston.

Staff that took the order over the phone was super sweet and polite. The staff that was at the counter was also polite and pleasant.
I ordered a 2 piece and chicken tender snacks. Both chickens were dry and chewy. The potatoes were also dry. Something changed a few years ago and it doesnt seem like its been for the better. I used to order the chicken bites but when the change happened they were inconsistent, small and dry so i decided to try the tenders, they were a nice size tender but not easy to chew.

Chicken shack has gotten worse every year. I was sure I received pigeon legs the last visit they were so small. I asked her to put more butter on the potatoes but she barely added any. This may be my last purchase here. The location in grosse point Michigan is just as bad.

Food was good and made in a timely manner. However, when a customer comes to pick up their food after ordering, it’s typically good practice for someone- ANYONE on staff to acknowledge said customer standing at the counter in some way, not simply stare at them blankly [looking at you, girl with dyed red hair] nor ignore them altogether. A simple “your order is not ready yet” without the customer having to ask [like I did] makes a world of difference.

I’m being a bit generous with 3 stars and hoping this experience was an anomaly. Ordered a family dinner for 6 plus an order of Cod. First, everything was overdone and rubbery. I placed my order for pick up at 7:00 and it seems like it might have been sitting there for a while beforehand. Chicken tenders and fish almost tasted like they were cooked in the same oil. Ribs and potatoes were just okay. Cole slaw was fine. I’m not sure if there had just been a busy run but lots of employees standing around while the floor desperately needed cleaning. Again, there might have been extenuating circumstances but overall, it wasn’t a good experience.

The saddest experience at this location. Low quality, low quantity, and high prices. They changed the quality of the chicken bites, and they taste like an old McDonald’s chicken nugget found under a car seat. Dry and tiny pieces… And you don’t even at least get a few extra to make up for the stingy size. Even the brownie was half the size it used to be . The chicken wings looked small and…sickly in color. My husband said they might be pigeon wings ♀️.
Chicken Shack isn’t just downhill.. it’s rock bottom. Did y’all not apply for the government COVID business grants? Do you need some money? Y’all must be hurtin’… bad .
