Tried Chicken Salad Chick on Doug Baker and found the food to be just average. The chicken salad was fine but nothing memorable, and the flavors didn’t really stand out. Portions were okay, but overall it didn’t feel like a place I’d go out of my way to return to.
Service was acceptable and the place was clean, but the food itself was not great and didn’t live up to the hype. It’s decent if you need something quick, but there are better options nearby.

Very disappointed with the service I received at this chicken salad chick. I usually go to the one by the galleria in Hoover but went to this one today to save time since it was on my way.
I placed a pickup order that said it would be ready by 12:33pm, which was great. Got to the store at 12:32, walked in and said I have a pickup order and gave my name. They only then started working on my order. My order took 20 minutes to make, it had two sandwich’s, a scoop, and three sides. I usually get this similar order at my regular location and it never takes more than ten minutes even when they are slammed.
I placed a pickup order because I was in a time crunch, this restaurant made me 20 minutes late to have lunch with my husband, we didn’t get to have lunch together as he had to scarf his food down and go back to work. His order included a side of Mac and cheese which was brown and looked like it had been simmering in a pot since the night before. I have worked fast casual food and I have never seen Mac and cheese look like it did unless it was left in the warmer for far too long past safety standards. His sandwich was also thrown together to where he had to redo his own sandwich, bread, bacon, chicken salad was everywhere in the to go box. My other sandwich, for my MIL who was joining me, I had requested no cheese on the crossiant sandwich. Guess what? No lettuce, no tomato, but there sure was cheese on her sandwich!
To add, other people were ordering eat in as I was waiting for my order, and they were served their food way before I was. I don’t understand how that is possible since I ordered 20 minutes ahead of them, but then again they didn’t even start to make my food until I arrived, defeating the whole purpose of an online order.
I ordered two 32oz drinks with my order, it was clearly on my receipt taped to my to go bag. When I asked the cashier for my drink cups she looked at my receipt on my bag, I pointed out to her where the drinks were since she was having trouble. She then tried to look it up in their system, saying she doesn’t see where the drinks on the receipt were, making me feel like I was being accused of trying to “steal” two large fountain drinks after I had already bought three meals.
Everyone seemed confused and did not want to work there. I will not be coming back to this location. I love chicken salad chick but this was one of the worst food experiences I have had in a long time.

Love this place. One of the newest chicken salads I have ever had. The croissant sandwich makes it even better.
I love their jalapeno holly spicy salad, it’s shi good.
If you are not into spicy then you can’t ho wrong with the classic carlo.
Service is prompt and fast and the outdoor seating is a good option.

First time visiting this location today (Ticket#: 243019921) ordered 2 entrees and 2 sides of fruit. They didn’t include the 2 sides of fruit ($6.18). Disappointed.

Placed an order online for pick up at 1:00, The place was pure chaos. Customer after customer coming to the front having waited more than 30 – 45 minutes for their food. No apologies, horrible customer service. I received my meal 30 minutes after I was supposed to have it. Food is good here but be prepared to wait.

Ordered thru door dash for my child and received MOLDY red velvet cake. I called and let them know. They did not even take the time to inspect it before serving. No quality checks. This is a serious health hazard. Pure negligence that could have been 100% prevented. If my child gets seventy sick I will be contacting my lawyer.

Why offer curbside when there is no curbside? Inside needs a major update. Trash on the floor as soon as you walk in. Smells of old carpet too. My meal was a 2/10. Pasta salad looked like it was days old. The pickle, which is the highlight for me, even tasted funny. People in the back making the food did not have on any hairnets. Management needs to step up and get this place together.

Placed a doordash order. They called to let me know their soda machines were down so I gave them my preferred substitute and asked for extra crackers for my chicken salad, the lady said sure. My food gets here and it turns out they decided not to give me ANY crackers AT ALL. Is this some kind of joke?
