I can’t believe I hadn’t been to one before now. When I first walked in, I was a little overwhelmed by all the choices, but Miss Eileen took me under her wing right away and helped with some great recommendations. I landed on a pretty classic choice — Olivia’s Old South — and it truly delivered as a great, straightforward chicken salad. It was creamy but not too heavy, with just the right balance of flavor and texture.
The broccoli salad was crunchy, fresh, and perfectly dressed — honestly one of the best sides I’ve had at a fast-casual spot. I also loved the little surprise of a mini cookie to round things out — such a sweet touch! Although I skipped on this tempting option, they’ll happily let you sample as many flavors as you’d like before choosing your favorite. And something else I passed on (this time!) was a few delicious-looking slices of cake that I’ll definitely be back to try.
You almost forget it’s a chain with the floral fabric tablecloths, cheerful colors, and cutesy quotes on the walls. It feels like you’ve stepped right into your Southern grandma’s kitchen — warm, homey, and full of charm.
Our food came out very quickly. The loaded potato soup was ver hot and good.
My sandwich was a turkey club. The bread was fresh, but for the price point, I was disappointed to find a single 5/16 thin slice of turkey.
Look at the first photo, the tomato was actually thicker than my meat.
My wife said she was pleased with her portions, and she liked the flavor. She tells me she would come back.
I will only return if my wife is insisting we go.
I understand slimflation but this is over the top.
Overall the food is average. It’s simply chicken salad; a bit bland. If you are looking for a basic sandwich this is for you. The bacon in the sandwiches is cold precooked and limp. Skip it if you can.
To go tubs are costly for what you receive ~$8 for four ounces.
